Favorite HALL & OATES song

My absolute favorite, all through these years, is Say It Isn't So, followed close by Out of Touch. Third? Certainly Rich Girl, and after that? Blah!

Their cover of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" was really good, but I think they only did that in concert.

I can't believe you left Sara Smile off of the list.

Something about Method of Modern Love that is really good to me. It's really a totally 80's song. Is there a "definitive" collection for these guys?

Yeah, too many good songs. This is the collection I like - The Very Best of Daryl Hall & John Oates- although there are many. Some will disagree because it doesn't every song but no CD would.

Private Eyes, I Can't Go..., and Maneater are a few of my favorites if I had to pick a few. Hall & Oates did a fantastic cover on their A&E special. I can't remember the name of the song but it was wonderful.

Hey, now - remember that I could only choose up to 10 songs - it was either Sara Smile or Method of Modern Love.

Say It Isn't So, though it was a tough call. Definitely my first "favorite band." Have a definite bias for their '80s pop stuff over their '70s soul stuff.

M-E-T-H-O-D-O-F-L-O-V-E

How anyone could have made a catchy melody out of that is beyond me. The guy's a genius.
Next in line would be "Wait for Me" and "So Close"

I'll second that. I also like Possession Obsession (John Oates on lead)

I think "Private Eyes" is one of the most perfect singles ever. It just gets better over time.

I had a renewed appreciation it for it after its excellent use in the film "Cherish".

I had my first kiss while 'Kiss On My List' was on the radio, so that's obviously got to be my favorite.

Most of their material still sounds great, MUCH better than the sh*t polluting the top 40 these days.

Like others said, there are way too many great songs. If I had to pick it would be Maneater or Rich Girl.

I would have voted Sara Smile if it were on there. Instead, I went with She's Gone.
