Behind Infinium Phantom Console
http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NTEy
Besides the connection between Mr. Roberts and the fall of WorldCom, the article is pretty in depth about how he is a major screw up and it looks like he is at it again. A fun read to say the least. If you weren't skeptical about the Phantom before, this article will make you.

This is a revealing article but it does not conclude the obvious - this company is a real scam! From the day the website for the Infinium console appeared, it was filled with gramatical and spelling errors. The console promises much but has no focus - it's definitely still on paper at this point, and probably more like crayola on a napkin, akin to fiction rather than fact.
Past history says this guy takes money and runs, dupes investors out of millions and doesn't produce product. I'll bet a call to the only real company he worked at, WorldCom, would reveal he never worked there at all. He's a con artist, and this is just another scam.
These guys in their article keep referring to the "success of Infinium Labs" is in jepoardy. Well, there will be no success or failure - it's a fake. The "company" is just a facade for a good old-fashioned scam-ola. This guy should be turned over to the authorities before he runs away with anyone else's money.

That is very interesting. Who'd thunk it. I knew that it was vaporware but had no idea that it was an actual scam. It is supposedly based in Tampa somewhere too. Maybe I should drop by...

Burton Roberts was born in Houston, and raised in St. Louis. He is currently single and residing in San Francisco, where he works as a marketing executive for a start-up tech company in the video gaming industry.

read the above mentioned article. It certainly seems like a scam to me. I downloaded the video and it really is just a joke. They claim it has more games than any other console. What BS is that????

I think we should flood CBS with emails to look into this person's background. I've already sent mine.
I'm surprised IGN and GameSpot haven't picked up on this yet. CNN had a nice article on the Phantom, maybe we should send them the link...
