Interesting that they put it up themselves, basically beating the BF sites to the punch.

I'm wondering if Walmart and Best Buy will post theirs by the end of the week.

Re: Black Friday 2018

I have to imagine they might jump the gun to post them. Usually those leak in the 1st/2nd weeks of the month, so if they don't, the leakers will soon.

Re: Black Friday 2018

If someone was purchasing a new gaming system for the first time in a long time, would you all recommend the PS4 1TB Bundle with Spider-man for $199.99 or the Xbox One S 1TB Bundle with Minecraft and a free $20 Target gift card? My last systems were the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii.

It always depends on what games you like. I was 360 all day every day but have flipped that to PS4 this gen. Just a wider selection of games that interest me.

Since you were 360, the One does have backwards compatability going for it now (for select games) if you are wanting to carry your games forward.

Lastly, the Xbox One will play 4k/UHD discs, the PS4 will not.

Tons of questions need to be answered before you can just make a blanket station about which system would be better.

Re: Black Friday 2018

I still have my 360 games, so backward compatibility would be great. It would also take the place of my blu-ray player in my bedroom so I would like to use it to watch DVDs and Blu-rays. They both have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video apps too right? The only sticking point is that I really want to play the new Spider-man game and it's PS4 exclusive right?

Re: Black Friday 2018

PS4 has the best exclusives hands down and is also the best performing system this gen (unless you spend the extra money on a Xbox One X). It's also the only system that has VR, if that's something you are interested in trying out.

And not every game is backwards compatible on Xbox, so make sure to check a list and see if the games you are interested in playing are listed.

Yes to all the above.

Yes it is. Grab a PS4. You won't be disappointed.

You can always keep your 360 hooked up if you go with the PS4.

Re: Black Friday 2018

Thanks everyone. It's sounding like the PS4 is my best bet. I'm going to try to get the $199 bundle with Spider-man then.

Xbox all day long.

Ps4 and nothing more.

People are biased, get the one with the most exclusives you want to play.

I've heard a bit about the 'media boxes' but have no idea what they are. I assume it means more than just streaming video and music?

Yes, streaming device, but also blu-ray player. Xbox One can do UHD 4k discs whereas PS4 can only do standard blu-rays.

Re: Black Friday 2018

Any reason why this is specifically in the video game forum? The ad covers all BF deals.

I was hoping to see Lego Villains be on sale this BF. Nothing yet. Maybe the game is too new.

Maybe will get NBA Live 19 for $15. I don't want to spend a lot of money on games that I won't have time to play.

As for BD/4K UHD deals, it's going to be a wait and see thing for me. Going to be a little selective on what I really want.

Yeah, because it was supposed to be for BF video game deals. There just hasn't been a whole lot announced yet, hence the other random chatter.

Not surprised. There was a shortage most of the summer. A lot of demand for it.
