Mickey Mouse in the Magical Quest (snes)
Enjoying this more than I thought I would. Disney games on NES and SNES were great
Zelda (Switch). Play as much as I can during my lunch. Just finished the starter shrines.

I'm about to cross the month mark without having really gamed, but at least I have something in the hopper:

I made a list of the 20 or so games in my PSN backlog that I've gotten during sales and started playing through them. Played through all the endings of Burly Men at Sea today and now moving onto GNOG.

Knocked out GNOG (which was a really fun 1-2 hour experience) and Echoes of the Fey (which was terrible but took less than an hour to play through). Now onto World of the West.

South Park - The Fractured but Whole
I made it through the game proper, and am now ding the Casa Bonita DLC. Fun game, fairly short, a lot of backtracking around the mountain town. Once the ending story kicked into high gear, there were a lot of laughs.

Then just finished AER: Memories of Old which is in the Journey/RIME variety of game and while it's nowhere near the quality of Journey and a step or two down from RIME it's worth a playthrough if you pick it up on sale and liked those two games.

Re: What Are You Playing? (July 2018)
While going through the PSN store new releases yesterday I noticed there was a Hotel Transylvania 3 game (Hotel Transylvania 3: Monsters Overboard) which I thought was weird since they don't really make movie tie-in games anymore. So I click to watch the trailer for the hell of it (even though I've never seen a Hotel Transylvania movie) and the gameplay looks very similar to Pikmin which piques my interest since Pikmin is one of my favorite game series. I added it to my wishlist just so I'd remember it in case it was ever on sale for cheap and moved on since there wasn't a single review anywhere on the internet. I mentioned this over on Cheapassgamer and one of the posters mentioned the game was heavily advertised on Redbox (I've only used Redbox once or twice) so I decided to get it from there this morning and try it out.
Four hours and one platinum trophy later I finished it and goddamn if they didn't make a Pikmin clone. I don't mean it's kind of similar to Pikmin I mean the gameplay is 98% the exact same as Pikmin. You unlock 4 different types of "impas" each with a different ability (breaking metal walls, making sand bridges, etc) that you throw out or send to attack. It's got a timed night cycle where you have to get your impas and treasure back to your portal before the day is over or you lose any impas that don't make it. All the enemies drop a jewel when you beat them that takes a certain number of impas to carry and bring back to your portal. Even the boss battles feel like Pikmin.
Now of course it doesn't have nowhere near the charm, polish (it's so barebones that the cutscenes are just static images with voiceover which is crazy for an animated film game), or content (I 100% the game in less than 4 hours) as a Pikmin title and I can tell just by the characters, dialogue, and story I hate the Hotel Transylvania franchise. But they don't make a lot of Pikmin-style games so if you're a big fan of them like I am it's worth a rental.

Re: What Are You Playing? (July 2018)
My Anglophile wife is more excited about Forza Horizon 4 than probably any other game, ever, and after a long while away, she's been furiously playing FH3 in anticipation. One of her goals is to get up to the next tier in Forza Rewards, and to help her along, I finished the last two Stories of Motorsport from Forza Motorsport 6 (which she'd long since abandoned; Horizon is way more her thing).

Been playing a lot of War Thunder lately. First time I've fired up the PC for gaming in a long time, which of course led to a GPU/CPU upgrade, haha.

Started playing Chrono Trigger (for PS1) a few days ago. I enjoy playing RPGs, doesn't matter how old they are. Sometimes older is better.
