I think this was the week Laurel should have made her move so I get Donathan's frustration, but he just torpedoed the hell out of his game.

Based on the edit I'm convinced Angela is going to win. Seven people left and she still doesn't get a confessional.

Since Wendel and Dom didn't seem to even think about playing their idols, maybe this was just another editing trick to make viewers think there was suspense where none existed? Otherwise, Donathan's play doesn't make sense. Sure, it makes sense to think about turning on Wendel/Dom. But it's stupid to behave erratically in front of them.

So next week is the end. I guess it'll be a busy show with 3 eliminations and the final tribal council. With all of their idols, it seems almost a given that one of Wendel and Dom make it to the end. And if it's one of them versus any other two, it should be a boring slam dunk ending. Laurel, Donathan, Angela, and Sea Bass should see that it do whatever they can to make sure the final is some combination of those four. But they can't wait any longer.

I'd say Angela winning would mean Survivor has entirely changed their thought process on how edits work. No one has been treated that irrelevent by the story and gone on to win.

Yes. I don't think anyone actually thinks Angela is going to win. Outside of her challenge win, she's basically been a non-entity since the early episode that teased her flipping.

Sometimes subtle players won't be shown a lot if they don't factor into the end game. For instance, I'm pretty sure Chelsea was actually playing. I don't think Angela is really playing.

Why didn't Sebastian use the extra vote?

He wasn't threatened in the vote at all, and it didn't make a difference to him whether Kellyn or Donathan went home?

All of these advantages and idols are forfeit once the game reaches final four, right? Let me see if I have the idols straight ... Dom and Wendell both have one, or does one of them have two? I know once of them also has a fancy looking fake idol. Damn ... too many idols this season!

Dom and Wendell each have an idol. Dom also found a fake idol that he reburied and the fact that we saw that means it will probably come into play since if it doesn't come into play they don't usually show it. For instance, I guess Wendell made an impressive looking fake idol that Jenna found, but Michael figured out it was a fake because of the note attached so they didn't show any of that.

I can't believe there's only one episode left and still six people. It's been a fairly boring season and I catch myself looking at my phone and stuff. Maybe the producers just want it over asap too.

I hate it when there’s an obvious power couple and no one takes them out.

That has been the standard in recent seasons

Really? I guess I'm stuck in the past where there was a Wednesday episode and the Sunday finale.

So it's going to be a two hour episode and an hour reunion all in one night??

That's been the standard (final ep and finale on a Wednesday) since Season 28 (Spring 2014).

I thought Jeremy517 meant it was the standard to be boring.

So, who turns on who first? Or do both Dom, Wendell, and Laurel make the final three?

Personally I prefer it to run this way. In fact, even though I know they would never do it, I would prefer if they did double episodes every week and compress the season into fewer weeks.

Short of one of the outsiders winning the final immunity, it sure seems to be wrokng out that way. Personally I think that's Wendell's plan and it wil go very well for him. I can see Sebastian mucking up their plan by winning immunity. Especially if he uses his extra vote correctly.

Re: Survivor: Ghost Island (S36E13) -- "Always Be Moving" -- 5/16/18

I was behind ten episodes and I binged them all in a week to get caught up for the season finale tonight. I haven't really cared for this season since Dom and Wendell have been dominating from the first episode. It's boring when the rest of the cast are followers and won't make a move to take them out. There have been perfect chances to send them home with an idol in their pocket and no one has had the courage to do it... It's very frustrating to watch.
