Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - 3/20/18
I'm a little surprised this is coming out next month since it's still making a killing at the box office. Best Buy also has a 4K steelbook.

Cover art is also a little dumb looking
at least the BB steelbook looks a little better

I saw this because I was looking for an excuse to use my moviepass. Ended up being one of the more entertaining movies I'd seen in quite some time. I will probably buy this on 4K when it comes out.

I wonder if the release date will be pushed back because it is on the cusp of entering rarefied air and grossing 900m worldwide (which will happen after Japan and a few more weeks of domestic play takes place)...why risk having a film still playing in theaters that is also out on home video. I get that it is not unprecedented to have a popular film still in theaters and out on home video at the same time, it just feels like there is time for Sony to course correct and push back the release.

If that were the case, I would think they just wouldn't have announced a release date yet. Unlike Star Wars which has dropped out of the top 10, but I guess might be making enough money other places to not have a release date yet.
I also think part of it is to try and capitalize on Easter sales. Hell, that might be why we end up getting a copy. Works pretty good to stick in the kids Easter basket.
