Thor looks like he's pruning a hedge in this one. I know he's forced to be a gladiator in the movie, but do they also put him to work as a gardener?

Hopefully there will also be a lower price non-4K steelbook. Not the best artwork, but better than that Target exclusive... fugly!

So probably February or March 2018 for a potential release date?

I'm guessing that the Target exclusive is a digibook like the ones they've been doing for DC?

Re: THOR RAGNAROK: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray

I think that the BB exclusive was the only hope for a US 3D release. The 3D was pretty good for this one. Boo.

Looks like Target's streak of exclusive content for Marvel releases has come to an end.

Although, that would explain

I had the same thought. I was hoping we'd get another Guardians type of release. It seemed to sell well, too, so that's a shame.

Im with you on that one. If push comes to shove, I'll get the 4k steelbook. A 4k disc may actually get some use as opposed to a useless 3d disc.

Even though I didn't love this movie as much as everyone else, i'll probably still end up buying the UHD.

You know, you could just visit the site and type the title into the Search bar.

Why would he do that when they are people providing him with the links simply by asking? Similar to bad parents, we enable him.

Re: THOR RAGNAROK: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray

Would anybody actually buy a steelbook when the artwork will likely change and they have no idea what the final product will look like?

Those are links to Zavvi's US retail site. I'm able to add both titles to my cart, so I don't know what problem you're having. If it still doesn't work, maybe try ordering from the UK site:

https://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/thor-r.../11582573.html

https://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/thor-r.../11582561.html

It's the same store in either case, just that one charges in USD and one in British pounds. (Your credit card might incur a currency conversion fee for the latter.)

Marvel SteelBooks tend to sell out during the preorder period. Anyone who is a SteelBook collector would be wise to place an order as soon as they're available. You can always cancel before release if you don't like the final artwork.

The UK SteelBook is pretty much guaranteed to have the same artwork as the Best Buy SteelBook. That's usually how it works. Sometimes the UK version will not have the movie title printed on the front cover, which is admittedly kind of stupid.

Yes, it’s about the content (3D). Could care less what this looks like...

Re: THOR RAGNAROK: 4K Ultra HD / Blu-ray

I've never ordered from Zavvi, so hopefully someone can answer a few questions.

When do they charge you? When you place the order or when it ships?
Also, is it easy to cancel? I was going to put an order in for 3D version, but would end up canceling if a US version is announced.
Lastly, is there any chance that the digital copy code work in the US?

1) They charge when the order ships.
2) Canceling is easy. I've done it several times for the exact scenario you describe. Never had a problem.
3) No, the digital copy will not work outside its designated region.

If you're in the US, it's better to order from the us.zavvi.com site, because they will charge in USD and avoid any currency conversion fees your credit card may charge if you order from the regular www.zavvi.com site.

However, note that for some reason the two sites do not always carry the same merchandise, even though they ultimately ship from the same depot in England. Ragnarok is fortunately available on both, but I've encountered other titles that can only be bought on the UK site and not the US site. (Also, frustratingly, I needed to create separate accounts on both sites. Registration does not carry over from one to the other.)
