Collection Databases

Is there an app that anyone uses for cheap that catalogs their soundtracks that they own? I want one for my phone so I know which ones I have so I don't buy duplicates when I find them cheap..lol

Re: Collection Databases

Not specifically for soundtracks but Rate Your Music is a collection database for music in general. I quit the site though because I got tired of some of the administrators/moderators or whoever approves adding new albums being sort of douchey.

Re: Collection Databases

It's been a few years, has there been any change in apps (for iOS) for a CD collection? I wouldn't mind paying a couple bucks for something that will let me scan my collection in by UPC so I can have it on my phone.

Does Discogs not work for you? It has a UPC scanner.

I'm starting from zero, was looking for a starting place. I'll give it a try.

Re: Collection Databases

I use CLZ for comics, I would suppose their music version is just as good.

You can scan barcodes to add.

Re: Collection Databases

I've downloaded Discogs and put in a couple things, looks good so far. The marketplace is a neat feature, though I prefer finding stuff in the wild.

I'll try more tonight at home.

Re: Collection Databases

Put in another handful of discs last night, I really like this interface. Though I'm always surprised how every CD has so many variations, yet it didn't have my particular version of Pet Sounds.

I was just about to post the same message. I've been debating trying their movie app for a bit now.
