I think Shang Chi as a character is being quietly scrapped.

I don't think so. Simu Liu has said that they're doing a sequel and there have been some production listing that indicate it will shoot early next year. They have films they still need to announce for 2026 (February 13 and November 6). Likely that will be happening at D23.

I hope not. I enjoyed Liu and the character.

Destin Daniel Cretton allegedly stepped away from Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars to focus on Shang Chi 2, so I don't think that's happening. And when has Marvel ever scrapped a character? The LEADER is coming back after 16 years. And every hero has been pretty well represented after introduction.

Marvel allowing cameras and uploading for their upcoming presentation in a huge break with usual protocol. There will be lots of videos of everything out very, very soon.
