Certainly an improvement over the second book (having an ending helps) and probably the first (mainly due to the characterizations).

I'm working through the Blackwater series that brainee has posted about in the last couple of WAYR threads. Currently on 4 of 6 and enjoying them pretty well.

Still reading Clive Barker's The Damnation Game. I've had this book for awhile now but never read it all the way through (got bored with it or something, I don't know). I only have very limited time to read so I've only gotten to page 140, but nothing untoward (or particularly Clive Barkerish) has happened yet and I'm starting to wonder if this book is all that. Getting a little frustrated, but I'll stick with it, I'd like to say I've read this book at least once.

Lightweight but fun. I thought there wasn't anywhere to go with this series (since the characters are all essentially gods who can manipulate the world any way they want). But I forgot the author didn't play the "strip them of their powers" card.

As careful as I'm being to read these in the proper order, it kept feeling like there was a missing novel (besides "Storm Front" and "Fool Moon"). Are there short stories/novellas I missed, or is that how Butcher just does backstory (making the reader feel like they missed out on huge events)?

I'll come back to the Dresden series later (when I'm in the mood for something light and fast). Next I think I'll dig into a Stephen King book in my unread pile (amazing how the guy keeps writing books faster than I can read them).
