Kind of neat, although a bit pricey. Would have been nice if they were more like $20 each or something. That said, somewhat tempted to buy the bundle. I've only played the first game, never played the second.
Officially announced during the Marvel games panel at San Diego Comic-Con earlier today, Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 for PS4, Xbox One and PC aim to stay as faithful to the 2006 and 2009 originals as possible. Fans can expect some graphics, UI and performance tweaks to get the games running as smoothly as possible, but otherwise they’re the same outstanding action role-playing games that make the series one of Marvel’s best gaming ventures to date.
Both games will be made available via digital download on Tuesday, with either running $39.99 or together in a $59.99 bundle. If you’re wondering why a pair of older games cost that much, you probably didn’t play them.

I've got them both for 360. The first game was pretty fun from what I remember. I bought the second one cheap always intending to play it but never got around to it.

I love both those games though the first one was better. The second was still interesting and introduced me to the Civil War storyline.
Absurd price point. Might pick up the remaster on Black Friday or on a Flash Sale sometime.

Damn, I thought the rights for these games were all tangled up beyond reconcile.
I have a UK PS3 copy of part 2 and a UK PSN account with the de-listed DLC that I was thinking about trying to sell those to make some bucks. This probably kills that idea.

The first game, IIRC, was vastly superior to the second one.
But I know for sure we'll never see the precursor XMen Legends games, since Marvel is disavowing mutants right now. Dunno if I'd buy this for full price, that seems absolutely ridiculous for something they're not really revamping. But I'd love more games in the series. Heck I'd have loved if Disney Infinity was a lot more like these games.
Or heck , just port Marvel Heroes over to the consoles, that seems like such a no brainier, and they can make money from fanboys by just continually putting out content and charging people for new costumes.

I read it in Game Informer a couple months ago when they had a big article about it and were highlighting the upcoming changes. They mentioned that with controller support they were working on a console release. I just tried to search for the info online and don't see anything about it so I don't know.

I thought the Skyrim remaster was a bad idea, this one is ten times worse. The price point stinks and how much you want to bet they are removing characters (X-Men/Fantastic Four) and replacing them with Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. Another one I wish I would get backwards compatibility for instead. (I own both including DLC and both guides too)

After more thought, you are probably right. I guess when they were allowed to re-sell the bundles for 360 a few months ago, they cleared up the rights for the One remaster. Activision...sticking it to consumers as usual.

Heck, if they updated this with more modern characters, I might actually double dip, but yeah no way they're putting in the effort. I forgot about deadpool, and wondered why that remake was released at that price point.

Has anyone purchased this bundle? Is it worth it? I remember the first game fondly for my PS3. Are all of the characters of the DLC included too? Reviews have not been kind for the first one but favourable one for the second.

This has finally come to fruition:

I'm actually pleasantly surprised they didn't strip out all the XMen from the game.

I'll be honest the graphics look terrible, and I'm wary of the F2P aspect, especially since they won't let you transfer stuff from the Pc version. But as I said before, I'm so starved for XMen stuff I'm in.

MUA is 30 bucks for both versions in the Xbox one spring sale. That's probably around the price it should have started at, and their tactic may just work because now I'm tempted to buy it at that price.

It's a very dated couple of games but I still enjoy them. Not so much remastered as just plays better and smoother on the next generation of hardware. I bought the two pack for $40 on PSN a few months ago and don't regret it at all.
