Target (not) DVD prices (April 30th - May 6th, 2017)
I didn't post the prices early since I thought there was an error from my regular source.
The info was accurate. I'm not sure what it means.
I've been doing these bargin posts since December 2011, taking over from Speedy1961. And he made these announcement for years before that.
This week's Target weekly ad has zero DVDs (or BDs) listed. I can not recall a week when movies or TV shows weren't mentioned.
Except now. As I wrote, I don't know what this means. Perhaps someone was asleep at the wheel.
Even during Black Fridays (weeks), there has always been something listed.
There is some very minor games listed.

My theory/hope is that the non-existent ad is just because there isn't anything spectacular being released this week. There have been plenty of past instances when they have carried titles not in the ad, so hopefully that's just happening again on a larger scale.
It's a bummer for me, as this is the biggest week of the year so far. I'm interested in Fear, Inc, A Dog's Purpose, Last Ship and Pandemic. As well as the book "Boy on the Bridge", which an employee already told me they will carry. Idk about anything else, they haven't carried Last Ship before, Fear, Inc is the sort of horror they often skip, Pandemic isn't being carried by BB either. Hopefully they'll at least have A Dog's Purpose. I shall see.
Thanks though.

They ARE offering Pasangers for free if you buy the new game haha. I guess the big week was last week with the Cartwheel deal. Strange, though, as I thought they would promote Rings at least.

I was at Target today and had to look over the ads that was posted on the wall several times because I didn't see any DVDs. I've thought that was very strange.

Thank you John!
Target's video sales ads have been abysmal lately but this week's ad takes the proverbial cake...

Really, outside of store exclusives, Target hasn't seemed very interested in pushing DVD or blu-ray in a long time.
When I walk through their DVD/BR section in Electronics, it seems like the same stuff that's been there for years.
The only things I get from Target are the odd store exclusive, like Rogue One, Star Trek Beyond, the DCEU digibooks.
But otherwise, their selection tends to be spotty and unorganized, their prices aren't that good, and they damage digipaks and digibooks with those fucking spiders.

Disappointing you can't walk into a store looking to spend and leave disappointed.
I rarely go into the store blind, that one at least.
