Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

A select number of Arrow Films are available on sale at 50% off. This is a great deal for fans of cult horror. No time this morning to dig looking for valid discount codes that may be stacked but here is the link for the sale:

Wallet can't take any hit any more...test of resolve and sitting this awesome sale, out. Just one observation that select titles in this sale can be had much cheaper during those twice or thrice a year Arrow direct sales. But that is assuming they will continue to offer those titles and that the exchange rate is still favorable. But otherwise, man, this sale is SO tempting (there's a $15 off $100 coupon floating around)

Not really digging some of those prices, but I'm probably too spoiled by Arrow's own UK sales, which usually work out to about $12-14US per disc, shipped. The $14.99 titles here do hold interest, though, moreso with those handy codes.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

Thank you hariseldon for posting the codes. I placed an order with the 20% code which came to $28.19 with tax and free shipping.

Dillinger [Blu-ray] $19.99
Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan [Blu-ray] - $9.99

Thanks. Picked up the American Horror Project set. Using the 20% of code and a discounted gift card that I originally purchased for the Criterion sale made this a steal.

This sale just has to come when I'm short on cash. Pay day is Friday, so I hope the sale is still active then. It would be hard to pass up buying at least a couple.

so none of these are available in store ? boy, what pain in the butt it is to input your ZIP code on EVERY title to find out in store availability. Has anyone at B&N ever thought of a next release for their website ?

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

Can anyone confirm if The Stuff and The Mutilator come with slip covers? ( I seem to remember one or both have slipcovers at my local physical media shop) Also are those 2 limited editions that B&N is selling? (i.e there aren't better editions floating around from Arrow.) I'm having trouble finding info. Thanks.

The Mutilator, yes. The Stuff, no. (At least, my copy of The Stuff doesn't have one.) These are the only editions floating around.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

Fucking hell. I hold off on the order for an hour while I get some food and when I come back half my order is out of stock. Anyone know how long the sale runs or if they usually replenish stock for during these sales?

In for the American Horror Project and Death Walks Twice sets with 20% off of each plus free shipping in two separate orders. Hovering over 4 to 6 of the $14.99 titles, but still deciding the most coupon-efficient way to go about it.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

This is odd...I went back to place a second order and every title I was considering is no longer in stock. I didn't know these Arrow films were that popular. Glad I got the two I was primarily interested in picking up...

B&N will pull items for sale on their site when they run out of inventory. I'm guessing this is the chain clearing out their excess Arrow Video inventory as much as anything else.

I want to support B&N but running out of inventory in less than 24 hours is unacceptable if you want to keep customers.

B&N.com has always been run very strangely for a web store. Sometimes things that go out of stock will come back.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

gave up on waiting for stuff to come back in stock. pulled the trigger on Crimes of Passion. I've never seen it and didn't read up on it. Bought it based on the cover art alone. Also because I was at a local record shop today and saw it for 40 bucks. Figured at 17 dollars all in, even if I hate it I might be able to flip it and get most of my money back.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

YMMV but the sale isn't in store at The Grove, Los Angeles. I went to pick up The Bloodstained Butterfly earlier and it rang up at $39.99. Manager said the sale is only online, where most titles are already out of stock. They can't order for you in store either.

Now if only more titles were available. Looking to get The Hills Have Eyes, but the other titles still available don't seem to be worth adding to my collection.

What's the difference in the 'Black Cats' set with the individual releases other than the inclusion of DVDs ? TIA

Awesome, thanks bud! Used it to pick up Crimes of Passion, which I'd had in my cart for a few days mulling it over. Hope they come through with the preorders of The Hills Have Eyes. Also preordered the Stephen King Blu's coming out this month.

Update: Crimes of Passion came out to $11.99 after the coupon.
