FUCKING. AWESOME. This is the rare movie where I want to tell everyone I meet, including strangers, to go see. That's how thrilled I was with this. All hail Jackman, Mangold, Stewart, the girl who plays Laura, everyone involved.
EASILY the best X-Men movie and one of the best (maybe my personal favorite) superhero movie of all time. Honestly, it's just a damn good movie overall.
I will see it at least one or two more times in theaters and it's a day one buy on BD.
Goddamn I'm pumped up right now.
Everyone go see this, support this movie!

I don't even want to see this movie but I'm happy to hear that it's so good. I like that Hugh Jackman has such a passion for the character, and that finally it appears we might be getting a really great solo-Wolverine film. He's going out on a great note. And Patrick Stewart is in it too!

Solid movie, but a little too drawn out. The action was great worthy of an R rating. In the end I just didn't enjoy it as much as I have other Marvel movies. Unfortunately the first 3 minutes was the best part of the show.

Wonder if when this hits BD, we'll finally get the 10-film X-Men mega-box I've always dreamed of that'll preserve those second discs of extras from 1&2? Doubt it.

This was fucking fantastic! Extremely brutal, bloody, and gory. And it had a great story. I was bummed out that Mr. Sinister was not the villain, so I assume the end credits of Apocalypse will segue into another X-Men film - probably the one I heard was going to start filming this year.
I am not going to add spoiler tags, because you should not be in here if you have not seen it anyway. A friend mentioned that it would have been much cooler to have Wolvering fight Sabertooth than a clone of himself. Personally, that would have been to on the nose. They kept referencing the clone as X-24, and the little girl was already X-23, so.....
I was blown away and will try to catch it in theaters one more time.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. The violence is indeed BRUTAL. And it is everything you've been wanting to see in a Wolverine movie. It is a fine ending if this is indeed it for Jackman and Stewart.
I will say that the language seemed a bit much at times. For a stretch it was like every line of dialogue had "fuck" in it. It just seemed like they were doing it solely because they could. I am by no means against the use of language or anything. I am all about having my yippie kay yay motherfuckers not neutered. It was just a little jarring.
Also, Jackman would've been a pretty good Terminator.

Amazing, loved it so much. Sad that we got the best Wolverine film at the end, but it has been a great 17 year run. I also wish they used Sabertooth instead of a clone. That was my only gripe.
No one was expecting Deadpool in the opening, I have no idea how they kept that a secret. Running into the phone booth with the Superman theme playing

There's a Deadpool "one shot" type of teaser before the 20th Century logo. If that is what you are referring to. It isn't a trailer.

Alien
Ghost/Shell
Kong
King Arthur
Life
(I really wanted a Guardians trailer)
About 90% of my crowd stayed. There were a few vocal complaints about no sequence, but the overall feeling was that we were all glad we got to experience every moment of something this special. I don't recall hearing applause for a comicbook/superhero movie in recent times either. There could have been more, but I'm betting most were just too stunned or bummed out to do so.
God damn, that final frame....

But there were groans from the audience when no scene started.
So. Now what? Where does Fox go from here? Let the Logan character sit for awhile or recast?
They still have a timeline problem that is more confusing than Highlander.

My IMAX showing of "Logan" had the GOTG Vol. 2 teaser, but not the full trailer that was released this week.

The audience I was with also groaned when there was no end credits scene. I could hear some sniffling in the crowd toward the end of the movie.
Same here. I didnt expect an after credits scene, but I still sat there, just listening to the music and taking everything I had just seen in.
But there were groans from the audience when no scene started.

It was also cool how they made Caliban sympathetic. I remember when the film and even the trailers came out folks kept saying that he would be the bad guy. He was not.

I saw it this morning in IMAX and loved it from start to end. Just a superb movie and very well made. Jackman gave a great performance, Stewart was fantastic (as always) and the girl was great as well. The whole cast actually were great to watch and I know Boyd has been getting some flak as a weak bad guy but I actually liked him. Nice to see a bad guy who didn't have some secret powers or abilities and just a slimeball. Even Stephen Merchent did a great job with Calibam. I was actually expecting it to be even more violent, but more than happy with what they did. That scene in the hotel was awesome.
Thinking about seeing it again tomorrow. I have always never fully appreciate the FOx Marvel output, but with Deadpool and especially this I am greatly appreciating what they are doing.
One thing I did think at the end of the movie is "After this, how do they continue to make family friendly versions of these movies?" This movie to me showed the full potential these movies and characters can have when the artists behind it take it very seriously and give it a whole lot of love. Another Singer X-men movie would feel like such a watered down movie in comparison. They need to just embrace and run with this now in my opinion. No more half measures.

I somehow had forgotten that the story was by Mangold and screenplay was by Mangold, Scott Frank, and Michael Green. That's a great triple threat.
The little girl is actually half English-Spanish. She's daughter of actor Will Keen and Maria Fernandez Ache. It is also her feature film debut.
