I don't see a need for two individual threads for the sequels. They were filmed back to back. Directed by James Foley...a shame.
Anyway, who is getting dragged this weekend?

Anyone who follows Stuckmann will know what he thought of Darker. For those relatively new to him, the first movie topped his list of worst movies that year.

I don't think anyone is getting dragged to it based on reviews and projections. I think the big romance movie this weekend will be John Wick 2.

I liked Jeremy Jahns who called it "Dogshit squared", he called the soft core porn on the top shelves at Blockbuster better movies.

"If you want to watch a movie about a billionaire playboy with a penchant for darkness, inflicting violence and dressing up in masks, you're far better off seeing The Lego Batman Movie."

Is the first book the best one?
I just read the wiki plot summary for this movie and it seems to have a better story with more conflict and character development while the first was more of an introduction.

I doubt anyone here read the book.
I'll fast-forward through both films at some point.

I saw this... and please, no flaming me, seeing it was more punishment than any verbal badgering I could receive. It's fucking terrible. I'm not ripping on it because that's the cool thing to do or to be funny... it's literally the worst movie I've ever seen - ever. There is no point to the film. There are plot holes you could drive a semi thru.
There is a cut-scene to a helicopter crash, big news stories about how the main guy crashed and is now missing in the wilderness and, I shit you not, he comes walking thru his apartment front door (after crashing in the Oregon wilderness) like he just got home from the gym.
Kim Bassinger... um wow. She's at an all time low. She has a small role but the abuse she takes at the end tells me she'll do anything for a paycheck.
I'm rambling... sorry. Worst fucking movie. I cannot believe this gets the green light and under no circumstance do I see these actors or this producer working outside of this franchise going forward.
Edit: I watched Kickboxer: Vengeance the other night... it had 1.5 stars on Netflix and I thought "do I really want to subject myself to another shitty movie in such a short time period?"... it was bar-none, 5* across the board compared the the Fifty Shades steaming pile of poo.

My favorite thing about these films is listening to men coming up with BS excuses of how they were "forced" to watch them.

I actually watched Fifty Shades of Grey this summer, and it was good for a laugh for the cringworthy dialogue, I still need to watch part two. Here is the first trailer for the finale.

i was severely disappointed ... I thought 50 Shades Darker was going to be about an interracial romance.

Oh boy, I laughed my way through the first one, and bored to tears watching the second one. I might as well finish it. I might even go see it in theaters this time.

So the finale to the Trilogy is out in theaters in one more week. Is anyone here going or getting dragged to see it by your significant other? I'm debating if I want to go to the "Rowdy Screenings" at the Alamo Drafthouse just to see what happens.
