Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals
I'm going to buy all the Fantastic Four omnibus volumes until they reach the Heroes Reborn era. Now have the first 5 volumes and both John Byrne volumes, so I can see the finish line in sight.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals
Yeah, I thought about getting it, but I decided to only buy ominis that are stuff I really only want to read in print and not digital...i.e. stuff I had as a kid. I didn't get into FF until around the early 200's and then stuck around until Byrne left. After that, I would pick up the occasional FF issue but very intermittently. By that point, I was full on into DC and bought very little Marvel. I am thinking about selling my FF Byrne omnis since it skips issues which drives me nuts.
The Spider-Man omnis are different for me since I read all the early issues through Marvel Tales while still collecting various appearances of SM and his other books at the same time. I never had a massive full run on any title because I was a kid and just could pick up stuff as I could find or afford them. The best time was when I was sick and my Dad when bring me home a handful of comics along with whatever Archie Digest was in reach.

Folks, you're never going to get better deals on the Amazing Spider-man Omnibus 6 and Fantastic Four Omnibus 5. Instocktrades has them for $45 and $43, respectively. Part of their Red Tag sale. Pretty shocking price if you've been following recent omnibus pricing by Marvel. Buy them ASAP, as IST often pulls them from sale once a certain number have been sold. You need $50 for free shipping.
And I'd be remiss not to mention the jaw-dropping $33 price on the 1982 DC Comics Style Guide hardcover featuring Jose Luis Garcia Lopez. I happily paid $66 for it just a few months ago and it's a beauty, unlikely to ever get reprinted from what I understand. A shame it doesn't seem to have been a huge seller.

I was tempted to get the CrossGen omnibus at $50 but they suddenly bumped it up to $60 this weekend. Still a good deal but not quite as screaming.

Yeah, they pulled back some on the discount level. Typically IST has a set number in units they have for a sale and then start raising prices once they sell enough copies.
