Update. This is now slated to open March 24, 2017
Original promos said Memorial Day.
Surprised that no one has commented about this movie over the last month. Usually this forum gobbles up anything and everything science fiction.
Here's the international trailer:

I'm guessing Ryan Reynolds has a small role in this as he is billed sixth in the credits. He should have demanded the "And" credit. That's when you know you've made it in Hollywood.

Looks interesting but the title doesn't grab you. Unless it gets huge word-of-mouth it won't do well.
When I was going to see Rogue One, a couple that just showed was planning on seeing it too. The guy asks "How long is it?" I mentioned that with trailers it's 2.5 hrs. They realized they didn't have enough time so he said "Well, what else looks interesting" and proceeds to go through film titles. Most people would probably pass on a movie called Life. The movie poster doesn't help. They kinda look like space helmets.
But I hope the movie is good and finds its audience.

What a bland title. Throw another word in there, like "Alien Life" or "Unknown Life" or something.
Or just give it a descriptive title like "Gravity Meets Alien."

There's been some people online speculating that this is a prequel to Venom or at least the origins of Venom (with now Sony apparently moving forward with that project).

I feel like this movie has gotten so little publicity and fanfare because it has such a generic title.
The promos/trailer have looked good. But, really? An R-rated space alien/organism thriller called "Life"

This just oozes typical Alien-ripoff movie, especially the 80's bombardment. Except this has two really high profile stars. Won't do well...

This was originally supposed to open on Memorial Day. In fact, even after the date change, when I went to Rogue One a couple months back, it still had the MD date at the end of the trailer.
And now when I went to see Logan, they played an entire scene. Seems like they're in desperation mode.

I've already seen this movie. It's Andromeda Strain meets Alien. Just stay home and watch those two good movies and skip this shit.

Thanks for reminding me to watch Shawshank and Trading Places and skipping this shit.

Ehh. I was hoping for a film based on the Damian Lewis and Sarah Shahi tv show from a few years back. Instead, we got this.

It'd be funny if this Alien clone turns out better than Alien: Covenant from Ridley Scott.

A couple of friends of mine saw it during the SXSW premiere. They says it's pretty much as cliched as they can make it, and quickly forgettable. Ryan Reynolds in Space kind of gives me that impression.
