I've decided to give "John Dies At The End" a second reading. I first read it about 3-4 yrs ago and loved it.

Been a while since I finished my last book (took October off for the horror challenge, then tackled a really long book). Just finished:
I've got to hand it to the author ... he went all out in committing to an epic trilogy. I can see how some readers may not care for the lengthy flashbacks (in this book, a 100+ page sidetrip into Fanning's college years). But they're well written and ultimately I think they all have meaning towards the big picture. My main quibble here is the final showdown with the "big bad" of the series:

I guess this should really go in the December thread, but it hasn't been made yet and I don't want to step on the toes of whoever usually makes them.
Anyway, just finished The First Fifteen lives of Harry August by Claire North. Fans of Replay would probably like this one.
Just started Prince Lestat by Anne Rice. Hopefully I won't be too lost, having not read anything past Memnoch the Devil.
I guess img tags work differently now than they used to?
