Deux Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4, XBox One, PC)
It was originally just a leak from a Russian site, but it looks like Game Informer has it officially announced and on their next cover.

Set in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution, Adam Jensen returns and joins forces with an Interpol-funded task force aiming to hunt down and capture augmented terrorists in a world that now hates and fears transhumans. Jensen has a new suite of augmentations that allow him to cleverly navigate stealth, combat, and social interactions, but how Jensen chooses to solve every problem is entirely up to you.

The original Deus Ex is one of my favorite games of all time. I really wish they would remake it because it isn't so fun to play nowadays because early 3D graphics have aged so terribly.

I remember when they started the Black Mesa mod to convert Half-Life 1 into the Half-Life 2 engine. That mod was started over 10 years ago, and it still is not finished. At this point in time, it's not even worth it because the Half-Life 2 engine is extremely dated. Looking at that video of the Deus Ex mod, it is using an extremely dated engine as well.

Given that the gameplay felt like it hadn't been updated since the original Deus Ex, yes, I'd say it was. And for a game about choice, the choices weren't really that important to the game. You were on a linear track most of the time, except sometimes you could crawl through a vent. Mass Effect completely changed how you make a decision-based action game, and HR felt stuck in the past.

Never played the first, loved Human Revolution. This game and a new Fallout would probably be what it took to finally pick up a PS4.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution and the infamous ‘Aug Incident’ in Panchaea that resulted in the death of millions at the hands of those who had installed augmentations. This event has created a huge divide between those who have augmentations, and those who do not. Amongst this emotional turmoil are various factions looking to manipulate the public by twisting public opinion of augmentation to further their own agenda and hide the truth of what really happened.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided also continues the story of Adam Jensen, a former biotech company security chief turned super-augmented, anti-terrorist agent playing by his own rules. Jensen has been empowered with all new augmentations, enabling him and the player a greater sense of self-control as they explore all new locations in-game. As social and political tensions reach a major turning point, Jensen and conspiracies surrounding the Illuminati continue toward an inevitable crossroads … and possibly, an epic showdown.

The actual game won't be even be 1/100th as exciting as that trailer. And the trailer isn't even all that.

You can't deny that Human Revolution had a much better trailer.
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hoRwOux7Ofw?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
But, even though you could technically do what's suggested by the trailer, Adam never felt remotely as badass doing any of that. A standard grunt with a flack jacket would stand a better chance than his weak ass ever could. And he could sprint far less than an asthmatic.

That's only the first trailer. I'm sure we will see more.
Human Revolution is the only game I've played through three times. Not even Fallout or Skyrim got that much attention.

Sorry you didn't like the first one, but I don't see the need to keep complaining about it here

Oh, I forgot to mention that I loved the soundtrack. One of the few that I've picked up to listen to after the game ended.

I loved the dirst Deus Ex game, hated Invisible War and found it almost unplayable, loved Human Revolution and this game looks like i will love it as well. This is a great series that had one misstep. I will be keeping a close eye on this one.
