If you really, really, really like the Ender series (which I do) I guess these 3 are worth reading, but they're pretty clichéd and not great.

In spite of the whole debacle, I'll still vote for the Hugos, especially since I'm going to the Worldcon this year, so I'll try to read as much as possible and not prejudge too much. I've read 2 or 3 of the books in this series, but I'm not going to be able to get caught up before reading those so hopefully it works as a mostly standalone book.

Stolen Prey - John Sandford. I am catching up on the last few years of John Sandford's Prey series (have read them all).

It's pretty good so far. A lot of talking, with the characters using a dialect of English that catches me off guard every once in a while.

John D. MacDonald -- The Deep Blue Goodbye (Travis McGee #1)

Silken Prey - John Sandford. Gotta love the Kindle/Google books app. (and I just discovered I can put the google books app. on my iPad, yay).
