The darkest chapter yet in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. For Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gaming systems.
Amid the chaos and violence of the French and Indian War, Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Assassin Brotherhood, undergoes a dark transformation that will forever shape the future of the colonies. As Shay, you will experience the slow transformation from Assassin to Assassin hunter and use all your skills to take down those you once called brothers.
----------
BECOME THE ULTIMATE ASSASSIN HUNTER
For the first time ever, experience the Assassin’s Creed universe from the perspective of a Templar. Play as Shay, who, in addition to the deadly skills of a Master Assassin, also possesses never before seen skills and weapons:
Equip Shay’s deadly air rifle for both short and long range combat. Distract, eliminate, or confuse your enemies by using a variety of ammunition, including specialized bullets and grenades.
Protect yourself from hidden Assassins with your enhanced eagle vision. Use your vision to constantly assess your surroundings and detect Assassins hiding in the shadows, on rooftops, and in the crowds.
----------
SLOWLY DESCEND INTO DARKNESS
Witness Shay’s transformation from an adventurous Assassin to a grim and committed Templar willing to hunt down his former brothers. Experience first-hand the events that will lead Shay down a dark path and set him on a course that will forever change the fate of the Assassin Brotherhood.
----------
NEW AND IMPROVED NAVAL GAMEPLAY

- New weapons such as burning oil, which leaves a trail of fire behind to burn enemy ships, and the puckle gun, capable of delivering continuous machine-gun-like fire.
- An arctic world full of possibilities: Ram through ice sheets to discover hidden locations and use icebergs as cover during naval battles.
----------

I love me some creed..but I honestly don't see how they don't bring this out on xbox one/ps4 next year if it ends up good. I will wait on this one, which will be the first Creed game I have done that for.

Almost a guarantee this will see a port to the Xbone and PS4 eventually. Either that or it'll be a free title with the GwG/PS+.

Love the series, so I'm all over this. And honestly, the time period appeals to me much more than Unity.

Yep, another vote for sounds great, but I'll wait until they push out a budget version on PS4.

I think I'm going with a black Friday purchase. It's $25 all over the place and with various coupons I have no guilt about biting around the $20 mark.

Yeah, I think that's still ultimately what I'm planning on. I didn't know it was $25 at other locations besides Walmart, though.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Rogue (French and Indian War; 360/PS3 Exclusive) -- Nov. 11th,
I picked this up on release, being an AC fan, but not a PS4 owner (for the time being, until there is a better base of titles out). Since I've become accustomed to getting a new AC every year, was thrilled to see that I wouldn't have to miss out this year, what with Unity not getting a PS3 release.
Anyway, I have been pretty pleased with AC Rogue, even at full price. It is pretty much a mash up of AC 3 (which I probably liked more than most folks) and Black Flag - so not especially groundbreaking. And as some have mentioned, the main quest is shorter than typical AC game (but still plenty of side stuff to do). But at half price, it is a no-brainer for AC enthusiasts who haven't picked up Unity yet or are put off by the problems in that game.

Total first world complaints here....but after shelving the PS3 for the better part of the last six months I was hard to go back to that controller. It literally feels painful compared to the dual shock 4. I may abandon the game just for that reason.

^ can't you use the new controller with most (all?) PS3 games? I thought others confirmed that that was a thing that Sony enabled.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Rogue (French and Indian War; 360/PS3 Exclusive) -- Nov. 11th,
Almost done with AC3. I'm a big AC fan, but it's taken me awhile to get through this one. I'd say it's been a boring slog, but there's been lots of fun points too, so I guess I'll just label it a mixed bag overall.
I was going to get AC4 when I bought a PS4, but with it currently so cheap on PS3, and getting ACR for $25, I'm sticking with old gen for awhile longer. Here's hoping Rogue is a fun time!

I started this yesterday. Basically a prequel to AC3 (your mentor is a younger Achilles).
I like the main character Shae. I'm still part of the Brotherhood, so the betrayal should be interesting.
Mechanically speaking, there aren't any new gameplay elements that I've noticed so far.

Yeah, I started this one too but haven't went back yet. I like it. But the game does feel like it should be a series of expansion packs for Black Flag.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Rogue (French and Indian War; 360/PS3 Exclusive) -- Nov. 11th,
Argh there's too much damn naval gameplay so far. I liked it when I played Black Flag (played it before ACIII), but I think I'm just burnt out on this portion of the gameplay. I'll probably like Unity more since as far as I know it's all on foot stuff.
