I hope heroes die in this one. I want there to be stakes. I want to be surprised. I won't get mad if that doesn't happen either. I just... I think heroes have to die in this one.

They did just say that someone will die in AoU, so they may be a little light come Infinity Wars.

Okay, not "die" per se, but that by the end of Avengers 2 that the team will be one member short. Take it as you will.

It won't be Hawkeye. If they want it to have meaning, it has to be a major character. Nobody gives a shit about Hawkeye.

Age of Ultron rumors:

Spoiler:
Supposedly Banner gets launched into space at the end of AoU. Then he will be seen next in GOTG 2 in a "Planet Hulk" kind of story.

James Gunn has responded to that with a No. But.... we can never trust things like that.

Steve Rogers Cap still seems logical to see "die"

Not in Ultron, but likely in Civil War.

I thought Evans and RDJ were both contracted for six movies which would be three solo movies plus three Avengers movies.

But now we have news of RDJ being in Cap 3 and Avengers 3 being split into two movies, so who the fuck knows how many movies are in their contracts now.

Cap
Cap 2
Avengers
Avengers 2
Cap 3

that's 5. And then Avengers 3... not sure how that works out in the paper.

Sebastian Stan having a nine-movie deal is highly suspicious. I seriously doubt that they are going to use the Winter Soldier character in nine movies. He's had two movies, and Cap 3 will be the third. The other six very well could be Bucky as Cap.

I wonder if Rogers (and maybe Stark) will die in Infinity War Part 1. Thanos killing a major character or two would be a hell of a cliffhanger ending. Then Bucky becomes the new Cap in Part 2.

It would also be kind of surprising since most comic readers would be expecting Rogers to die in Civil War like he did in the comics. That doesn't happen, and then the unexpected happens and he dies in Infinity War instead.

Interested to see where Captain Marvel and Inhumans fit in-between Infinity War. Some repercussions that force the Inhumans from hiding?

I didn't think about that. Jesus. Than Avengers Pt 3 will be massive, if that was to happen. The Infinity Gauntlet is a universe shaker. By that point... I honestly don't know who could be in there. I'd want anyting and everything if I were taking on Thanos.

It'll be Thor, and Mjölnir will be taken up by Beta Ray Bill in GotG 2.

It's funny you say this in a comic book movie thread, when we all know death has few repercussions in comic books, and with Coulson this kinda carried over to the movie-verse.

Re: The Avengers - Infinity War: Parts 1 & 2 - (5/4/18 & 5/3/19)

Yeah...but Coulson doesn't matter.

Talking about him.... I'm guessing he'll come back into the films? I dunno. His whole death wasn't that great. Whedon, in what little I've seen of his deaths, hasn't' surprised me with a few deaths. One especially in Serenity. Though the other one was unexpected and you actually gave a damn about that one.

And films can be different. They could go into recasting or have them get older to some degree but.... they can also kill them to add more characters.

Also... We've only seen Hawkeye doing something big in Avengers but he'd better step up in kicking ass cuz he'll seem ridiculous if he makes it to fight Thanos. Comic book Hawkeye I can see being all up in Thanos' shit but dunno about MCU Hawkeye. I hope he's actually a character to give a fuck about in A2.

Anyone else think Marvel might be oversaturating the market with its movies?

Hell no, it's all the other remake garbage that has been over saturating the market. The other studios send Marvel the business for actually giving a damn what they are making.

Not when there's so much other crap coming out.

This at least keeps me engaged and interested.

Not really. We'd have 21 films by 2019. The MCU started in 2008. So that's actually a nice steady run.
