Is it time to put the Poker forum out of its misery?

The Poker, Gambling, and Las Vegas subforum has pretty much died. The only discussion in the last three months is about how no one posts there anymore.

I suggest that it's time to roll it back into Other.

It could be a good training ground for new mods. Or semi-banishment for bad ones.

You've got to know when to fold them.

I'm not against it. Just have to figure out a way inside the software to do it without losing those most valuable threads.

Adam Tyner might know how to do it.

In any case I will look into it.

I remember this coming up a couple years ago when it was already dying, but people got upset about taking it away.

Yeah I think you're right. Well in any case, it's gone now.

Thanks Adam!

I'm going to wager, yes, it is time. Give it the flush, the royal flush, straight-up. That forum has never had a full house. (not that I would know, as I have never visited)

It's weird not seeing it there from the Other page.

How about we get rid of political film as well? Just roll it into politics. Might give us topics other than creationism and evolution in there.

Wasn't that created because "Ironweed Film Club" (whatever that is) was paying IB to sponsor a subforum? I mean, no one asked for it.

I thought that was the anime or some other subforum. You could be right. I think it's better to roll it into politics than the regular movie forum though.

Yeah, Ironweed sponsored the Political Films forum. Here's the discussion thread under Feedback from 2009.

I think Right Stuf sponsored Anime Talk. There may have been others.
