I believe the article. Affleck worked hard to build his reputation back up after he was involved in a string of crappy films and he takes a role in a huge film that was drug through the mud by critics. Had to be fairly disappointing/embarrassing for him.

Yeah, Affleck was great in it, and I want to see his Batman movie. The main problem with BvS wasn't the actors, but the script and some obvious studio meddling, which Affleck had nothing to do with. But I understand how he'd now want a tighter reign on things.

I haven't seen BVS yet, but from all I've read Affleck does as good a job with the material as anyone could have, and better than most. He's got nothing to feel bad about. He (apparently) was one of the good things about the movie.

Snyder shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a comic book movie ever again, though. MOS was so ridiculously overblown, and had a couple too many stupid plot points even before the endless, mindless, chatistrophic battle between the Kryptonians.

I'd like to see and Affleck directed Batman movie...

For all the crap BvS has revieved over the "Martha", it cracked me up that Civil War pulled the same thing with "Bucky".
-A friend of mine always gives me crap about "Martha", after watching the movie with him I told him "He can now longer say that because his "Movie" did the same thing".

Other things that were similar to the BvS:
-Bad guy was the one pulling strings throughout the movie
-Bad is caught and in a prison cell at the end of the movie
-Political meeting is blown up and many people die
-New character come out of nowhere...an King and a Princess (Emissaries...sort of)

You know what is dumb about that Martha scene? So we know it's kinda stupid for Supes to use "Martha". But then after Lois explaining who it is, fcking Bats says it too!

"I promise Martha is not going to die tonight"

He says it to supes, not Lois (which at least woulda made sense). At that point it shoulda been "...your [mom/mother]...". God that fcking scene

The Bucky thing was well done and there was history to it from the previous two Captain America films. The Martha thing is pretty much out of nowhere and really pretty silly in how it was used.

I've been holding off on this because of the talk of releasing the rated R version in theaters. Is that actually going to happen?
