Can anyone point me to an explanation of what kind of re-shooting and re-cutting the film was subjected to? I've seen mentions here and there that Shredder was recast or was originally going to be played by Fichtner or something.

I thought it had some fun sequences. The whole movie was very fast and breezy. There seemed to be a lot of missed moments. It's like Michael Bay had his crew out there shooting the movie. But it was still missing those handful of moments that make Michael Bay movies so enjoyable. Transcendence had the same issue.

In a time when we're getting similar genre movies (from Marvel) that are so rich and meaty, this one felt empty.

Still, it had its moments. I'm glad I watched it.

As a fan, I thought Will Arnett stole the show. His dialogue was what I'd expect from Will. I assume he wrote or ad-libbed a lot himself.

Ugh. I hated this movie. Just lacked so much soul.

This is on Netflix now too and I watched it with my 11-yo son, 9-yo daughter, and 6-yo son... and they loved it!

I enjoyed the movie (I saw it in the dollar theater with my brother)... but not enough to buy it, but hey, if it's on AP or NF, why not.

I'll see the sequel in 2016.

It really was lacking. There's just nothing to the film as far as plot goes whatsoever. I really hope the next one is a lot better.
