Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

Good prices, competitive with the B&N sale (in a few cases, even with the member discount applied). Very tempting.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

It is tempting, especially since I worry about coupon use during the next B&N sale. Of course, the only ones I'm interested in are the most expensive ones. Ha, ha.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

Probably some time in July. The last one started on the 12th if I remember correctly.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

I'm tempted to pickup Belle du Jour. Even with a coupon and tax, it comes to about the same price as what Amazon has it for right now. I wish La Haine was one of the discounted titles.

Too bad the Lean/Coward set isn't part of the sale, I'd probably buy it.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

Thanks for the list, junglalien. I already have most of what I would want from that list. I think that I will hold out for the B&N sale or the next criterion.com 50% off sale(I'm inching closer to the $50 GC for spending $500) for the rest.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

Thanks! Picked up 4 on my to-get list - The Red Shoes, Beauty and the Beast, The Lady Vanishes, and Smiles of a Summer Night. $80.46 shipped.

I would rather buy through Amazon w/Prime than drive to a B&N. Not to say I won't be picking up some of the Criterion new releases during the B&N sale in July.

The only must have for me was The Lady Vanishes. The rest I can wait till the B&N sale.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

The only one that interested me was Fanny & Alexander, and that is a great price for the full set so I nabbed one copy.

Re: Criterion Sale at Amazon

Thanks, Junglalien.

I bit the bullet and went for THE THIN RED LINE and THE LADY VANISHES, used some points which reduced the total, something I could not do at B&N. Also this keeps me from spending my dough all at one time during the B&N sale.

Still need TWELVE ANGRY MEN and ANATOMY OF A MURDER so am hoping for those in July. Can't imagine any of these will be much cheaper then with all the restrictions we've been seeing B&N implementing. But if so, so be it!
