anyone here into electronic new age music??
So I'm going back through my Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre albums lately and was wondering are there any other musicians who are similar and who I'd like as well. Thoughts?

I love Vangelis and Jarre. Some of Eno's stuff is in that vein. Also check out Alchemy: An Index of Possibilities by David Sylvian.
Also Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yellow Magic Orchestra.

Some indie musicians I've heard that are pure electronic new age are Dylan Ettinger and Andre Vezina

I listen to a lot of New Age. It helps me get through the work day when I'm stressed out.
Adiemus is good. I also have most of the Sacred Spirit CDs (highly recommend Jazzy Chill Out and Bluesey Chill Out). Delerium, Conjure One, Amethystium are some others I dig.
Older Enigma definitely fits the bill. The Screen Behind the Mirror is a great album.

Not New Age at all but seek out Future Sound Of London, Michael Sterns, Robert Rich, and Tangerine Dream!! Treasures await you!!

Re: anyone here into electronic new age music??
I like a lot of electronic music though I wouldn't say I listen to 'New Age' specifically. Usually ambient and new age is a bit too unstructured for me. I do like some other downtempo music a lot though - usually more beats than what ambient or new age has. I recommend Phutureprimitive, Ott, Shpongle, Perfect Blind, Younger Brother, DubTrak, GoaHuman, Sephira, Ajanta, and Koan.
Another recommendation for Future Sound of London

If we're talking Kraftwerk then I cannot stress Neu enough. I love Kraftwerk, but Neu are the purest Krautrock there is, imo.

Re: anyone here into electronic new age music??
I listen to a lot of Krautrock and Ambient stuff so there is some overlap with New Age and a lot of stuff I listen to.
Suggestions for listening:
Eno
NEU!
Faust
Kraftwerk
Tangerine Dream
Belong - Mix of Abstract, Post-Rock and Drone.
Expo '70 - Mix of Krautrock, Ambient Drone and Space-Rock.
Sun Araw - Mix of Psych-Rock, Experimental Jam, trace elements of Funk and Dub.
Bitchin' Bajas - Terrible name I know but they're great. A mix of Terry Riley type Minimalism and Ambient. Great stuff for fans of Eno.

Would Conjure One count?

If not, listen to it anyway.

I suppose if one would consider Enigma new age then the stuff from Conjure One and Delerium would qualify as well. It's more dancey than your average new age though.

John Foxx (ex-Ultravox and early electronic pioneer) releases about every other album these days as instrumental "new age" music, collaborating with such folks as Harold Budd and Theo Travis.

Re: anyone here into electronic new age music??
a high school friend of mine was a HUGE Tangerine Dream fan - I really need to get those albums and add them to my library of music.
oh and thank you, thank you for all the suggestions (keep them coming)
oh and regards to Future Sound of London, they are outputting new stuff under a different name: Amorphous Androgynous
which Robert Rich album do you recommend?
really like that Biggi Hilmars song

Actually Amorphous Androgynous is an earlier moniker used by FSOL BUT/UNLESS they have reverted back to that name. In any case, check out Dead Cities (omg for My Kingdom), ISDN (for Smoking Japanese Babe alone!), and Lifeforms.

As for Tangerine Dream, I submit to this group that their awesome "Yellowstone Park" perfectly bridges the ambient/newage/electronic gap. It is that good.

unless I'm wrong, I thought their 'The Peppermint Tree and the Seeds of Superconsciousness' was a 2008 album.
