Based on the post count for last week's episode, I still don't think this show has enough of a following to justify starting a thread for each episode. So I'll try and maintain this one for the duration of the season and bump it each Thursday.

Dirty Randy was awesome last week. I hope somehow Raffi gets back into the league....awesome season premiere and draft. Andre in the restaurant was hilarious too.

I was just looking at The League's IMDB page and apparently Stephen Rannazzisi's real-life son Jackson plays baby Geoffrey (Ruxin and Sofia's kid). Interesting bit of information.

As long as you're willing to do the work, I say go for it and do weekly threads. They tend to get more posts than season threads. We're here to talk TV, after all.

This show and Parks And Recreation are easily the funniest on television.
Andre eating off the couch and making Ruxin put the ring back on was great. I love how Kevin told everyone, including the homeless man, about Jenny being on her period.
Ruxin: "Wait, an eight-way? Andre's sister isn't even here."
Taco: "Andre's sister? Shotgun last."
Andre: "'Where's Sofia?"
Ruxin: "I'm keeping her and her family of conquistadors away until Geoffrey gets into the school."
Ruxin and Kevin thinking the solution to their problems was to spray-paint a swastika.

Once again The League beats Sunny in the funny. I love The League but never thought it would take over Sunny as the funniest show on TV which it has easily done in this and the last season, (and arguably even in its first season).

Still not quite up to the quality of the first 2 seasons, but still crazy funny. Too many examples to even mention. Highlight was definitely the scene in Andre's apartment though. The look on Ruxin's face when Andre found the Shiva ring was priceless.
This show is eerily mirroring The Office for me. I had heard of The Office but had never watched it, but watched the short first season and was instantly hooked and then watched the second season before the third season premiered. Every episode in the second season was pure gold. Couldn't wait for the third season to start, but once it did I loved it, but just didn't think it was quite as funny as the stuff from the first 2 seasons that I just watched. Then...crash and burn in the 4th season and I pretty much gave up on it in the 5th season. I really hope that doesn't happen to The League, but if the quality seriously starts to drop as far and as fast as The Office then I hope they just end it either after this season or the next. Here's hoping it remains even half as funny as it is now for years to come though.
And oh yeah...there should be a mandatory shot of Sophia in her bra and panties every episode...or better yet move the show to HBO and have her naked every episode. That's the only way this show could get any better.

The first episode of this season was worlds better than the season 2 premiere... but the rest of Season 2 will be tough to beat.

I hope that's not true. I believe she was at the premiere party thing of season 3. Seems like she wouldn't have been there if she was gone from the show.
In any event, I don't think they've done enough with her character anyway. She's never really had much to do. I think they've missed their chance a little bit with the whole Jewish/Catholic thing. I guess part of it is that Ruxin isn't exactly an uber Jew, but it seems like they could have come up with some funnier Catholic/Jewish interactions. One of the funniest things I've heard in the show was just in the last episode when somebody asked Ruxin where Sofia was and he said he's keeping her and her family of Conquistadors away until Geoffrey's acceptance speech. I think he also referred to her family as Conquistadors when Taco filmed him before his wedding.
It's not like that would be a new bit or anything, but I think the League writers could have had a field day with that. Like we've never seen Ruxin's parents and such interact with Sofia's or anything like that. Obviously we have Rafi, but I just think it would be funny if we saw more of the polar opposites that I'm sure Ruxin and his family would be compared to Sofia's.

This. This episode was just a brilliant follow up to "The Lockout" in my opinion. They are layering everything together from week to week - Andre with Ruxin's ring ("kiss it!), Andre getting a female-driven STD, the lies about the draft order and Andre's condo porno. It is going to get crazy. So many secrets they're all hiding from each other. Taco is going to break purely by accident.

Sorry everyone. This week was kind of hectic at work and I lost track of my days. Hopefully everyone caught it or can catch the repeat.

I loved the Tolbert-Matthews references and comparisons. It's mostly funny because it's true, but also because I drafted Tolbert in my "league" that consists of all friends and we've had eerily similar conversations.
I am still relatively new to the show, but I like it more and more each time I watch it. There are a lot of episodes from past seasons I haven't seen, though, so sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on some little inside jokes/references/running gags/plot lines/etc. that some shows seem to pull off so organically and effortlessly.

"You just cant have sex with a girl when you meet her. It's like a three-step process. I'm picking them up, taking them out to a nice dinner, maybe go see some hot jazz..."
"Oh yea and then you have sex with her *there* so you don't have to go back to her place..."
"No! I'm not going to have sex with her at the jazz place..."
"What the jazz place doesn't have a bathroom?"

Kevin: "I need to you teach me [whispering] how to be a liar."
Ruxin: "[whispering] You don't need to whisper... we're at a law firm [loudly] lying is encouraged here. Look, I'm not your guy for this. You need a low-level maintenance liar like Pete. 'No, I've never been married before.' 'Yeah, I definitely own my own home.' 'No, this isn't a cold sore.' I'm the guy who you come to when you're ready to perjure yourself to protect an Australian mining consortium."
Kevin: "Ruxin, you are the best worst person I know."

Who played the nanny? She kinda looked liked Brie Larson with a few extra pounds.
