I have one of these in the bedroom and just bought another for the kids playroom. Don't let the off-brand name scare you away... this really is a great television with a really good picture, and for this price at 46" it's a fantastic deal.

If anyone snags one and tries it, PM me, and I'll let you know the settings that I thought made the picture the best... I mean, there isn't MUCH customization with this one, but still, it helps. But again, 46" 1080p TV for $500.00? good luck finding that anywhere else, and the reviews have been universally excellent for this television and brand.

If you want a crap TV, Target has a 40" for $300 on black Friday. 46" for $450. I was in target last year around 10AM, long line but they had plenty of their doorbuster TVs.
BFads.com has all the deals. Walmart's ad is on their page on facebook. So it should be pretty much good to go on DVDtalk to talk about BF. The ads are everywhere

I don't know Apex. I know Dynex. Because I bought one, with hesitancy about 6 months ago for the bedroom, and ended up being pleasantly suprised. Are there better 46"ers out there? sure... fuck yeah... but it's a damn fine television for that price.

I'm more inclined to buy the one at Target, simply because I'm looking for something in the greater than 42" range, 1080p and LCD, and all for around or under $600. It's for my parents for Christmas, so it doesn't have to be end-all, be-all. They've never had HD before, any would be better than their old cornerstone television, but us children are on a budget. And I hate Plasma, dunno much about the Hz difference.

I'm looking for a bedroom TV and the 32 inch is $279. That's a great price, but it doesn't look like it has any of the streaming features of a Vizio, so I may hold out for Walmart.

I might have to try one of these out. Our old LCD is looking like crap and I am on the 6th bulb - missed the class action lawsuit due to missing paperwork. I would like a 3D set, but I am going to wait for their price to drop a tad bit more on the 55"+.
How bad is dropping down from a 50" to a 46"?

Bought one to replace a Dynex 32" LCD that I picked up last year. It's not a bad set at all.
I think my Panasonic 56" LCD from two years ago smokes it in terms of picture quality, but it was also more than twice the price of this 46" set.
One complaint (which appears frequently on this set) is that you really do need to aim the remote directly at the IR sensor in the bottom-left corner of the TV. I'm not sure if it's a crappy remote or a crappy IR receiver in the set.
for a cheap 1080p LCD.
TallGuyMe - I'll PM you my picture settings. Let me know what you used for settings. I used DVE to adjust the picture via HDMI, then applied the settings to all of the HDMI inputs. Looks good with the Roku, HD-DVD player, and a Blu-Ray player.

I work over at best buy, dynex is actually pretty cool. LG does the actual screen (which they do most tv's anyway) and samsung does a lot of the parts inside.
