Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
thanks Mao for all your Hard Work.
I pretty Much Think August is done. with maybe just Black Waters at Echo Pond possibly coming late August or Early Sept.
But it looks like Sept will be The Begining of Summer Releases, With the Exception of How to Train your Dragon and Nightmare on Elm Street, The Perfect Game, and Waking Sleeping Beauty
Iron man 2, Robin Hood, Letters to Juliet, Just Write, Macgruber, Sex in the City 2, and I heard early Rumors that Killers, The Karate Kid and Prince of Persia might all end up in Sept as well.
I remember the days when The Summer Stuff didnt street until November and December. and you had to wait till Sept and Oct for anything released in the Spring

Well Realistically, its because I work for a studio on the DVD side of things. and we get Unconfirmed dates from other studios, so we know how to jockey our releases.

As soon as these are officially announced, you'll find art and other specs elsewhere on the web and other areas of this site. This thread is really only for info, which mvieguy does an outstanding job of providing!

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
Please don't get upset, but I have one question. And I would appreciate an answer. Are those confirmed dates for Robin Hood and Iron Man 2 or just rumored dates that you heard? Thanks in advance

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
Robin Hood and Iron Man 2 are both Rumored Confirmed dates, which means, while the Studio has set them in Stone for that Date (My Guess is that they will Stay) Sometimes depending on other studios, they may get moved. Like if a date becomes crowded, however Due to the Box Office Power, Iron Man 2 is likely to stay. Robin Hood which had less Box office, could end up being moved up a week if they feel necessary. A good Example is that Killers is rumored for the same date as Robin Hood and Cyrus is Rumored for the same day as Iron man 2. Depending on the Studio, My guess, is that Cyrus would get moved because of the overcrowded date. Killers could stay as Counter-Programing to Crowe in Robin Hood.
As of right now. they are set in stone.
However just heard that Solitary man with Michael Douglas is being moved up a few weeks to Sept 7th, to get away from all the summer blockbusters.
Sex and the City 2 is due on the 14th, from what i hear
