I had to use a wide angle lens. Its the only way I could fit the full shelves into the pix. Sorry.

None of the pix of my DVD shelves will upload on Flickr, so all I can share are some of my VHS shelves:

I have the same shelves (though only two of them). They're from Best Buy (atleast that is where I got them, and where they were cheapest. Made by Atlantic I believe). Pretty sweet, though I can't imagine having to put that many of them together.

DVD Movies:

The top row and a half under the boxsets are all Criterion
Blu-Rays:

Some TV on the bottom

TV DVDs

Living Room Set up:

Bedroom set up:

I've got a Blade Runner poster as well. Just waiting for the frames I used to go on sale again before I get one and put it up.

Holy crap, so that's what 4000 movies look like? lol Nice collection dkedvd. I'm envious, I only have about 2000 and am constantly running out of space, I suppose I need a bigger house so I can turn a room into a movie room like you have.

Sweet lookin' collections everyone! I've got to ask... It looks like a lot of collections I've seen in this forum are not in alphabetical order. How do you find titles? I tried non-alphabetical once and it only lasted until the next day when I went looking for a movie and it took me 30mins just to find it.

Mike, good to see another fan of the Ed McGuinness DC Direct figures. I used to have a bunch of figs, but sold most of them off 2 years ago. However, my Ed based figures are staying with me. My favorite interpretations of those characters.

Why didn't you get the JLA figures as well? The Hawkman is to die for.

SWEEEEEEET! I love people who still collect VHS. People look at me like I have two heads when they see VHS in my collection. And i only have 200+ or so. There are some AMAZING titles just not available on any other format. And some harder to get titles that I would have to pay an arm and a leg for on the internet. 25cent VHS tapes at my Goodwill are also a great way to watch a movie I'm not sure about so I don't make a bad blind DVD buy.

Actually, I haven't collected VHS in ages....all were bought in the pre DVD days when VHS and Beta ruled. There was also laserdiscs (still have around 200 kicking around somewhere) and the RCA CED discs.

A film like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (2.55 AR) becomes a whole other movie on pan and scan VHS, lol.
You're right about certain titles not being available on DVD...there are quite a few titles that I have on VHS that I would like to purchase on DVD, but no such luck.

Edit : btw, I'm impressed with your collection....very nice.

The JLA ones I did like (except the Wonder Woman one looked pretty weird), and I probably would have bought them, but I'm kind of phasing out of the toy buying thing. Unless there's some Superman figures based on Gary Frank's art, I don't think I'll be buying any more.

Here's some more photos from my closet. I keep most of my more geeky stuff literally in the closet...

These were on my nightstand, but I've since moved them into the closet and put the Flux Capacitor and Time Machine License plate on the wall above my nightstand.

Also got my Blade Runner Final Cut poster framed and put it above my tv, moving the Memento poster over and putting the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang poster in my closet.

I moved into this new apartment about a month ago. Just about got it how I want it.

Oh and here's a close up of what's next to my TV if you noticed:

Part of my DVD collection

I also have 8 metal cabinets (with doors), each one holding around 300 DVDs.

Sony 55" where I watch the DVDs (Sometimes I watch 'em on my Toshiba laptop)
