I love the Steel Panthers series and only really got into Close Combat 3. All though any war game on the East Front or during the Korean War gets my attention.

Did you have this for the Mac?
I played that game everyday. I loved Crazy Ivan!
Did you ever play the sub game by Sierra?

Hey, PzKpfwVI, you ever play Steel Panthers? It's a great war game at the squad level. It has just about every vehicle used in WWII and is very playable. There is a company that has done a version of it called Steel Panthers: World at War. You can download it for free at http://www.matrixgames.com
It's a pretty big download (350 MB), but well worth it. I've been playing every night for the last week straight. Matrix Game's site appears to be down right now, but I'm sure it will be back up.

I remember Ancient Art of War. That was great fun -- especially being able to create your own maps and challenge your friends with them. Man, that rocked.
we played them on an old PC -- 286 or 386 i think in 7th grade. There was something you could do to slow down the movement, but i don't remember what.
