OK, I am on my 10th season in Madden for the PS2 and I am still not sure how or if you can challenge a call like in real life. The computer has twice in the 10 years challenged the spot of the ball and won and one time I was ASKED if I wanted to challenge the spot. Doe anyone know if there are ways to challenge calls or anything like that or if you have to just coincidentally be asked?

It is my understanding that there is no way for you to challenge a call on your own. I am in my sixth season and I think I have have two challenges in that entire time, both against me.

No... you can't challenge calls. Ea gave the explanation that since it is a computer, it can get every call right, so 'bad' calls would be added like penalties and they felt that would take away from the game. However, I think that it would be great and if they could program the CPU AI to imitate the real life coaches overturns, that would be awesome!

However, I think that they need to spend more time beefing up the defensive AI before they work on that. Don't get me wrong, the game CAN be really challeging on the All Madden setting, but then there is really no running game and thats no fun. So they need to balance out the all madden setting to still allow for a running game.
