I知 trying to finish up Ghost of Tsushima. I知 finishing up Act 2 but I知 taking my time, trying to complete all of the characters and mythical quests too.

I also bought MK11 with all of the DLC so that will be next eventually.

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

^ Done!

I have a pretty enormous backlog right now, between holiday gifts and Black Friday sales. I知 hoping to slash that in half or so.

At the top of my January list are Guardians of the Galaxy, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Halo Infinite, and Metroid Dread.

I致e been having a blast playing Mario Golf on the Switch with my wife, and we have a couple other co-op games in rotation (Moving Out; whatever Paw Patrol game is on Game Pass) that I知 sure we値l keep chipping away at.

Old habits die hard, lol. Many of us will likely be typing 2021 for a bit.

Replanting my last post from December thread since not much has changed.

Still playing or put on hold to finish once some others are finished with:
Chrono Trigger (replay)
Dragon Quest 6
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (put on hold)
Final Fantasy 7 Remake (replay)
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (replay)
Shin Megami Tensei 5 (put on hold)
Star Ocean 01: First Departure R (put on hold)
Tales of Arise
Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars (put on hold)
Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Dawn of the Battle Royale!!
Add to the list (lol, just keeps growing):
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

Got 100% through Death's Door last night, though that doesn't include the three achievements I'm still missing. True ending was good though.
Not sure what to play next...

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

Played through Golf Club: Wasteland yesterday. The golfing mechanic as a whole is pretty janky, but I didn't struggle with it nearly as much as others apparently did. I love the look & feel of the game, though. I got all but 3 achievements. Oddly, the one for just finishing the game didn't pop for me. Not sure what's up with that.

I found Chicory to be pretty boring so I'm moving onto Archvale (XBSX).

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

Tested positive for COVID on the 31st and have been in quasi-isolation in my home office since. Plenty of time for games so far in 2022.

So I dug back into Ghost of Tsushima with the DLC and next gen upgrade. Perfect game for passing the time. Didn稚 finish it but I had a great time with the 50hrs I put into it.

Still playing Call of Duty Vanguard pretty regularly. I enjoy it a lot despite the lukewarm reception at launch.

Monster Train is my go to Switch game right now. It痴 fantastic. Up there on my GOTY list for sure.

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

I put 30 hours into Blasphemous the past two weeks. One of the best metroidvania games I've ever played. Hard as hell, vague as fuck regarding side content to complete but so good. Best $7 I've spent on a game in years.

Finished my first game of 2022

Lots of thoughts on this one which mostly negative. I heard 8 is way better so that'll be started soon.

I like it more than 7 but damn half of tbe game feels like its an on rail shooter I really wish Capcom would've made 7 and 8 a spin off series and call it "Biohazard"

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

Finished (on PS4):

This has taken me a while (started about 6 weeks ago). I've played (watched/read) visual novels before, though this pushed my patience. I thought it was a great story with memorable characters and some shocking plot twists (including one of the most horrific murders I've seen in a game). The problem for me was it was just too damn long. I have no problems with long games, but this seems like it should've taken half the time to get through.

Re: What Are You Playing? (January 2022)

Monday I finished the main campaign of Spider-Man, which was fun. I'm going to tackle the DLC next, but I got to 98% completion skipping the most annoying timed challenges.

Then today I finished off Lake, which I heard about in The Questyen's thread. I thought it was breezy fun with an interesting story. The action is intentionally subdued, but it was the first game I finished on Series X, and it ran well.

The last three games I played were Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Ghost of Tsushima, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, so it was kinda nice to tackle and actually finish some shorter stuff. I'm pretty sure I haven't finished games in consecutive days before.
