Re: E3 2017

This was actually kind of exhausting with all the games shown. I know, I know... It's impossible to please everyone but I literally got fatigued from all the sameness and no breaks between trailers to process.

The only thing I actually got excited for was Crimson Skies being mentioned, a 14 year-old game. I love the idea of being able to play old games, but the thought of digging out discs from storage and keeping them nearby is a major turn-off. I think I would happily pay MS a buck or two per disc I sent to them for digital copies here in 2017. I know some movie studios have done similar things in the past, but I don't know how successful those programs were or if it's worth the trouble.

I know! Anthem will be tough to say no to, even though I'm generally not an online multiplayer guy.

I am in theory, although I hope it's more comprehensive than what we've seen for 360. I have this weird itch to revisit the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer game (the awful sequel, not so much), and expired licenses and stuff make me doubtful that'll happen. Midtown Madness 3, Rallisport Challenge, Crimson Skies...there's still a lot to be excited about there.

I was hoping to hear that there'd be 4K updates for Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3, so that was great news. I'll probably re-buy Titanfall 2 on the XB1 to check that out in 4K. It's a surprise to see Witcher III on the 3rd party 4K update list, seeing as how they said they would not be doing a similar update for the PS4 Pro.

https://www.polygon.com/e3/2017/6/11...m-release-date

Update: The complete three-episode season of Life is Strange: Before the Storm will cost $16.99; you can pre-order it now on the Xbox Games Store. The game will include a Chloe-specific feature called Backtalk, “a risk/reward conversation mode that allows Chloe to use her barbed tongue to provoke or get her way.”

Square Enix is also offering a $24.99 Deluxe Edition that will come with a bonus episode, “Farewell,” that will allow players to take the role of Life is Strange protagonist Max Caulfield “one last time.” The package will also include an exclusive Mixtape Mode, which players can use to put together their own playlists from the game’s soundtrack of licensed music.

Re: E3 2017

I was just about to post that myself. It's all queued up and downloading on my Xbox now. Had the disc, so this is nice.

There was a message during the stream that something was unlocked, but I can't remember now what that was.

Re: E3 2017

I'm guessing Bethesda isn't unveiling anything big since most people will be asleep when they have their briefing tonight.

Re: E3 2017

EA confirmed Anthem will be fall '18 title. Might allow me to hold off on buying an X until then unless there is some other killer title.

Doom VR! I can't imagine. It's like the dream of 1994.
