Dead by Daylight (X1, PS4) - June 20, 2017
This procedurally generated, multi-player game sounds interesting. It is basically a 4 on 1 game where one person plays the killer, in a variety of forms, and the other 4 try to survive. I like the idea that the map will generate each and every time. However, that will likely affect the graphics in a somewhat negative way. There is mention that the killer could be a savage killer to a paranormal entity.

Sounds a lot like Friday the 13th (which comes out next Friday btw!), just with various killers.
Watching some gameplay with Michael Myers on Youtubes right now.

Friday the 13th isn't Procedurally generated, is it? Or if items appear at different random locations every time on the same map, does that make it Procedurally generated?

Friday the 13th map appears to be static. Not to derail the thread but one of the things that I don't like about the upcoming Friday the 13th game is Jason's ability to teleport. Really silly in my opinion.

I was going to (based on PC players streaming it months ago), then I watched a couple vids and the graphics looked like ass... I will need to look into it more.

Passing on this as well. While it is cool how there are multiple killers to choose from, all you do is keep putting people on hooks as the killer...And as the survivors all you do is keep repairing generators... From what I can tell that is literally it. Or am I missing something?
Plus Myers isn't even in the console version from what I heard.

I am still a nit skeptical about it but I'm interested in the variety of killers and maps. The Halloween DLC is supposedly available on the store to buy. The game was still 15 bucks less than Friday the 13th.

The PC version is available with the Humble Spooky Horror bundle currently if you pay $10 or more. Is it worth it? I understand the 4 vs 1 setup, but is it online players? Do you need to have 5 people ready to play, or do you simply enter the game and become assigned to other players waiting to play online?

Bumping my own bump, new characters and maps! Alien could be pretty sweet if they execute it well. Can't believe they're still using the same engine for this so many years later. Still a ton of fun.

I'm surprised this thread didn't get a bump for the release of Nick Cage.
