I will definitely get this. Was hoping it would be this year after Red Dead 2 was delayed.

Looks fun. Anybody want to wager how long it'll be before a known news outlet reports outrage about it being a "game about killing white people"?

In Mafia 3 you are able to kill a lot of white people and do it as a black man.

...in the meantime 90% of the media & Hollywood will be applauding, clapping, cheering and laughing along with the Taliban, ISIS, IRAN where no doubt the game will be Number 1 Best Seller....

I'm all for it. Especially when we have a bunch of tools who currently run our country......into the ground.

Noted

I didn't really care for 4 and skipped Primal but this looks like it could be a good deal of fun. Also like the theme they're going with, militias used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid.

Watching the trailer, this could be a prequel for The Handmaid's Tale.

Gold Edition comes with a Steelbook? Sold! I just pre-ordered it because Gold Edition of Ubisoft Shooters tend to be scarce at launch (at least The Division and Ghost Recon Wildlands were)

Interesting that the Digital Gold version has a MSRP of $89.99 and the physical Steelbook version has a MSRP of $99.99. I do understand that there is cost associated with production of physical copies and Steelbooks but I don't recall a situation where a new AAA non-indie game went for more as a retail release than as a digital.

re: Far Cry 5 - 3/27/18

Well darn it...if this is the case with their co-op plans for FC5, then I'm skipping it. I had some doubts to begin with but when they said co-op mode would be included, I thought co-op the story and campaign and then I'm all in. It's basically the same with FC4 which is a crying shame because it's outstanding and just begs for co-op play...except only the Host Player gets the credit.....I guess they didn't learn after all...

Only Main Player Will Progress In Far Cry 5 Co-Op Mode

http://www.gamepur.com/news/27106-fa...-progress.html

Far Cry 5 Co-Op Mode

According to news published by Gamestar, two players can play in Far Cry 5 co-op mode, but only the main will be able to progress through the main story. There will be a friend who will be with you fighting off enemies, unfortunately his progress will be Zero.

Ubisoft has said nothing on this, it looks the second player will only be a companion offering a helping hand and in return gets nothing. Co-operative gameplay will be online, two separate players can connect with each other through internet, and there won’t be any location options available

I could have sworn I read that it would be different this time. I'm not taking this source as a fact yet.

That's it...I swear I saw where this was going to have co-op campaign. If this is true then someone needs to explain why on earth they are doing this. Seriously...who wants to do campaign in one's game getting zero credit and then re-running again in your game. That's the crap now in FC4....

Re: Far Cry 5 - 3/27/18

Holy shit! I was a little bit reluctant to spring for the Gold Edition since the FC4 Season Pass was the ultimate dud. Turns out Far Cry 5 Gold looks to be amazing!

Far Cry 5 DLC Features Zombies, Aliens, and Jungle Warfare

I've a feeling we're not in Montana anymore...

Far Cry 5 focuses on the battle to free Hope County, Montana from the grip of The Project at Eden’s Gate cult, but its post-launch content will take PlayStation owners far beyond rural America. The Far Cry 5 Season Pass includes access to three new expansions.

In Dead Living Zombies, you’ll struggle to survive in a zombie-infested wasteland, facing off against hordes of the undead. In Hours of Darkness, you’ll trade gunfire with Vietcong fighters in Vietnam, while Lost on Mars takes you to the titular red planet to test your mettle against Martian arachnids.

The Season Pass also includes a return to a familiar location, specifically the Rook Islands. Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is an update to the classic open-world adventure game that will give players an opportunity to come face-to-face with Vaas, one of gaming’s most notorious villains, for the first time on PS4.

In fact, one of the team’s fondest memories of working on Far Cry 3 happened when Michael Mando, voice actor for Vaas, came to the studio dressed up in full Vaas gear and took pictures with everyone from the dev team for two hours. During the development of the game, Dan Hay, creative director, had a running bet with everyone on the team that if the game got a certain amount of high review scores, then he’d get a tattoo. The team hit the goal, so he ended up getting his Far Cry 3 ink (we secretly hope it is a honey badger, but cannot confirm).

Far Cry 5 Season Pass holders will get to re-experience the Rook Islands early, before Far Cry 3 Classic Edition goes on sale as a standalone game. Far Cry 5 launches on PS4 on March 27. The standard, Deluxe, and Gold Editions are now available for pre-order from PlayStation Store, and the Gold Edition comes bundled with the Season Pass.

There’ll be plenty of wild new territory to discover and blow to smithereens, so get ready to grab a co-op buddy (or just some local Montanan Guns for Hire) and go berserk.

Re: Far Cry 5 - 3/27/18

I ordered that gold edition months ago and I can't wait. As a matter of fact, I'm looking forward to this game more right now than Red Dead 2. That might change as we get closer to the release of RDR2 but we shall see. Looks like a kick ass time.
