Favorite game series?

Re: Favorite game series?
Uncharted. I normally feel a sense of satisfaction/sadness when I beat most games. But all the Uncharted games I've hated finishing because I never know if there will be another one and it's like saying goodbye to a close friend.
Runners up:
-Castlevania
-Resident Evil
-Silent Hill
-The Arkham games
-The Witcher
-Assasins Creed

At the end of the day, it's still Fable for me. I'm extremely disappointed what's come of it but I have tons of fond memories for what does exist for the first three games. Outside of that, I'd say probably Elder Scrolls, Diablo or Bioshock.

Does it get better after the first one? I just played through the remaster recently and it didn't hold up very well.

The second one is the best of the series hands down. Honestly, it is my top 360 game I've ever played. I love the first one a lot, but it does lose a bit of shimmer these days. The third one is an acquired taste. Over the years, I like it more and more, but its not for everybody. But Fable 2 is worth playing even if you don't know the series...it's also BC too.

i'll have to say Bionic Commando. i've had most of the incarnations on various systems and the original (NES) is one of my favorite games of all time. the new digital ones are good too.

I wanted to like the GTA franchise, until I was stumped on San Andreas in the "area 51" missions which required some drone flying. I was never able to master flying in the pc version, and wasn't able to advance further in the game.
I liked the pc versions of GTA3 and GTA: Vice City a lot. GTA3 didn't have any flying missions. In Vice City, the flying missions were only really in the optional missions in order to get 100% completion. I was eventually able to finish the flying missions in Vice City after numerous tries, and getting 100% completion.
In the case of GTA4, I was never really able to master the controls on the xbox360. (I passed on the pc version of GTA4, when I read numerous bad reviews of it being completely botched up).
Since then, I haven't purchased any further GTA franchise titles. (Other than purchasing the hardcover Brady games guide for GTA5, when I found it for less than the price of several then-current video game magazines which had articles about GTA5 that I was interested in at the time).
