Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

I told myself I was going to stay away from the overpowered Charge ability on my 1999 run but I could not help myself. With the upgrade that recharges your shield and gives you a second of immunity after using it...combined with the shirt Blood to salts that gives you salts when killing enemies...and the boots that give you life with you kill an enemy with melee..and currently using brittle skin that makes enemies take double damage for 5 seconds after landing a hit....melts anything on 1999. Later I will replace brittle skin with the item that uses your health when you are out of salts...it sounds scary, but it basically makes you invincible.

Yes! If you are going to put them in games then don't make extra obstacles for people to have to overcome to get them. Especially since there is no way to backtrack in Bioshock 2. If you miss certain things then you are out of luck unless you have a save back at a certain level.

Platinum number 2 down for this set. I think I am going to step away for a game or two....I should step back to Bio 2 in a month or so.

Really a great set, and playing in 60fps was amazing. I did notice some slowdown on Infinite though...nothing bad, but it was there in hard fights.

Having a blast with 1. Those splicers come out of nowhere and freak me out. Really early on. Just killed Dr. Steinman I believe and got a key. Really fun and gives a great feeling of claustrophobia being underwater...

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

So early on in 1 with not so great weapons, any good way to kill the Big Daddies? I've just been unloading all my weapons and die, but eventually get em...

Please tell me you're shooting them w/ a shotgun. Electrocute, they get shocked, rapid fire shotgun to the head. Hack a turret or sentry. Incinerate or electrocute him again. Set up traps.

Stalk the BDs. Know your environment. Etc. It's really not that hard.

For your shotgun get the electric shells.

go for the head.

I can't wait to go back through this and use the trap bolts. I found those far too late into the game the first time through but were a blast.

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

I like all 3. 2 is a nice extension. 1 though has the fucked up nature in it that 2 can't recreate and 3 didn't need that. 1 is so fucking crazy. I loved it all till the very very very last end. That was stupid and cheap. Loved the LS' ending it for me but still... the boss fight was just imaginatively weak.

So, is it better to save or harvest little sisters?

There is no better. It tells you what the difference is in the game and you choose the way that fits how you play the game.

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

Yeah, but it says that women will reward you if you save at another time. Is that big time Adam later bc I like harnessing Adam now to get more stuff to help me along...
And do u even have to kill Big Daddies to get through a level or is it all about Adam?

Jesus. You really suck at games, don't you? Just fucking kill the little bitches to make it easier on yourself early on.

I've never killed one in saved game. I have killed them just to see wtf would go on. But i just reloaded the save before and just went about my way not killing them.

No, not really, but I do like to get the most enjoyment out of them so I ask to see what all the possibilities are...

Bioshock is an an experience like no other. It asks you to make emotional decisions that may or may not have repercussions down the line. Asking what the best thing to do is cheats you of that journey.

Just decide something and roll with it and see where that decision takes you.

I just googled "save little sisters or harvest them" and I got a far more detailed description then anyone on here is going to give you. I'm sure you are capable of doing this also.

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

It is simple. Harvest the little girls get more ADAM. Rescue them and get less ADAM but Tennenbaum will give you rewards. The best of which is the Hypnotize Big Daddy plasmid. I saved just enough to get that plasmid and then harvested the rest. The rest of what Tennenbaum gives you is not that great IMHO.

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

Seriously. Don't be a lazy fuck in wondering how to experience a game. Fucking experience it for yourself and go into the wonder of not knowing. Asking us all the time is fucking cheating in going through a game.

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16

I freaking love this first game. So good. Those splicers are so freaky. I'm like scared of them. I just put a rose in the pneumo for the Langford lady I believe to save the trees. How far into it am I?
Is part 2 more of the same? Does it expand universe of Rapture at all? Does it play like first and doesn't get overly complicated? Sometimes sequels do that...

Part 2 has a weaker story, but far better gameplay, IMO. The Minerva's Den DLC of the 2nd game is better at both!

Better gameplay huh? I think 1 plays very well and fast. Of course the 60 FPS helps, but I really like the controls, intuitive and very responsive.

So how far into the game am I with the scene I described (gave rose to Langford to save trees in farmers market looking for vector components?
