Better gameplay huh? I think 1 plays very well and fast. Of course the 60 FPS helps, but I really like the controls, intuitive and very responsive.
So how far into the game am I with the scene I described (gave rose to Langford to save trees in farmers market looking for vector components?

No, that's not at all what I'm talking about. I don't mean "technical" gameplay. I just mean that the powers and guns are better balanced and they're more fun to use with better enemy encounters to use your powers/weapons against - stuff like that. GamePLAY, as in design, not frame rate or controls - all that stuff is the same.

I remember preferring the action in B2 as well. Bioshock was a slow build unlocking weapons and abilities and by the time you get them all the game is over. B2 doesn't suffer from that. IIRC you get to be a badass pretty early.

Man, I just got to Fort Frolic in B1, going to look for Cohen, I believe. The intensity and difficulty really ratchets up. They throw so many splicers at you. I got like no ammo and no money to buy ammo...

I never had that problem. I don't think you are exploring areas enough. I actually have issues where I have too much money and am maxed out of both cash and ammo.

For fuck's sake. Just play the goddamn game and experience it however you like. Stop trying to get people to tell you how to experience it.

On normal difficulty it is just ok...it does not shine until you play on high difficulty....having the ability to one shot many enemies that soak up damage from your other guns is amazing.

Yep, and it would take all this inane bs off the forum.

Welp, for those like myself who waited on the sidelines for this collection (mostly because I own all of them for the 360) to go to $20...today is your day. X1/PS4, Amazon $20, brand spanking new. GO GO GO!

I don't need that. I would like it, but I don't need it.
I already own Bioshock: The Collection, so it would be $200 for a statue.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Even if I didn't own the collection, then it's still $170 - $180 for the statue. I'm hopeful that it goes on sale or clearance, but I don't see them making a ton of these.

I have the Funkos for Little Sister and Big Daddy, got them loose for about $20. I think I'm good, lol. But it is a heck of a nice statue, just not for $200.

Re: Bioshock Collection (PS4, XB1, PC) - 9/13/16
So, I want to talk a little about Bioshock here. I'm REALLY late to the game. Just got the collection on sale the other day, and started getting into the first bioshock. It just doesn't seem to be grabbing me the way it has other people.
I played and loved System Shock & System Shock 2 back in the day, but this really just feels like a "me too" game with a new coat of paint. I'm playing on easy, because I suck, but I'm still having issues. The maps seem WAY too convoluted to me, I can never figure out where I'm going. The little arrow that's supposed to tell me where to go doesn't seem to work all the time. I'm completely out of ammo, and stuck in resurrection tube with a Big Daddy right outside. At first I loved the art-deco design, but now I'm just over it.
Think I'm just going to give up, and move on to the next, but is Bioshock 2 more of the same? Should I just skip to Infinite and give that a chance? Or is this line of games just not for me?

I think it's more important to finish BioShock 1 than anything, and if you aren't liking 1 I can't imagine you'll find much to love about #2.
I found BioShock Infinite to be a lot easier.
