Nice that he's going out on his own terms, from what it appears. He came off as enthusiastic dork sometimes, but I appreciated that he was always excited about the products.

Him retiring means almost nothing. He had a unique relationship with US retail distribution channels but that was really it. Product and production-wise, all their decisions came from Japan.

He had a good presence though when it came to press conferences or presentations for unveiling new products and stuff. Good amount of charisma and seemed like a decent guy. It’s always good to have a person like that as head honcho for a company as it projects well onto what you’re doing. I’m surprised he’s retiring as he’s pretty young, but I guess good for him. Can’t say I wouldn’t do the same if I had the opportunity to retire fairly young.
