I got back into the First WD. Played it when it first came out but lost interest. Now I'm really digging the game. Excited for 2 which looks like a major improvement.

I ended up spending lots of hours with the first one. Looking forward to it. I really want to play Mafia III as well. Might get Mafia on the cheap next week, play it, then grab this on discount. This fall is crazy with all the big releases.

I played with this for an hour or so. I don't really feel the urge to keep playing. I dunno maybe it's just because I just started and haven't unlocked a lot but as of now I'd rank it 6/10.

I am a little farther than you and I can see your point. The game feels empty and does not do a good job of getting you into it. That being said, around hour 2 things started to click for a me a bit. My advice focus on main story missions for a while and you will get pulled in.

Reached the five hour mark. The game just....meh. Much like Mafia 3, the city itself feels lifeless and devoid of personality. It also feels about as empty as Batman: Arkham City. And I'm finding it nearly impossible to identify with the main character and his narrative. At the point I'm at there really isn't a purpose to what he's doing or why. Mechanically, its very similar to the first game along with its convoluted control scheme. I'm trying not to be down on it but overall it's definitely not something you need to pay full retail for.

Re: Watch Dogs 2 (PS4/XB1/PC, Fall 2016?)
Finished..25 hours
As far as story goes...typical 6th grade video game bullshit...
As far as an open world game...fantastic.
I loved taking down missions and never triggering an alarm or being seen. I feel the upgrade that lets you drop your stun/regular grenades almost breaks the game but in a good way. After the disappointing open world gameplay of Mafia 3 (which at least had a fantastic story) it was nice playing such a polished creation.
If they could have combined the story and acting elements of Mafia 3 with this game, it would have been game of the year.
I would have liked to try out the online hacking, but still not word on when they will fix it.

I didn't think I would agree with you before playing it but you're right. First impression upon playing it was that it looked fantastic but I just wasn't into it.
Then it just got a lot more fun - a lot has to do with how much there is to do in the game and how interactive and lively the NPC's are - a ton of work went into this game - it's not boring at all like GTA V - when you free roam in this game, there is usually always something going on to where you can sit back and just watch - very cool.
Someone mentioned the story is pretty bad, I agree but I'm not going to lie (and some youtube reviewer feels the same way I do), I got caught up in it. it moves fast and you'll always want to see what happens next but I should note, I might only be halfway through so I don't know if it gets worse or better.
Game is excellent - I don't think I've ever played a title that is so freakin' lively and colorful like this before.

Anyone playing on PC? How's it run?
EDIT: Nevermind - it's not even out on PC yet. Carry on.

Wrapped it up last night, everything except the MP missions. I think I'm around 15 hours and went about 95% non-lethal. For me, it will be instantly forgettable. But if you can grab it for around $20 I think it's worth a buy.

How is the quad-copter thing though?? I hear it's cool to take it up as high as possible to capture some cool shots and other hidden things.

I didn't use it for photography at all. But found it really useful with the last five or six campaign missions. It really helped me lure and lay traps out usefully.

They released a patch today for the online play. However, unless my eyes are deceiving me, I'm see a graphics loss and more aliasing on the PS4 Pro than I did before this patch. This will really piss me off if this is true and this trend continues.

Yes, I think they lowered the quality on the ps4 pro when they added online back in. It does not look as good as it did a week ago....
I got back on and played some more bounty hunter...it is a lot more fun than I thought it would be...I did land a real nice sniper shot in a match..
I just wish matches would start with less hassle..

Re: Watch Dogs 2 (PS4/XB1/PC, Fall 2016?)
Wrapped this up last night - game was WAY too long and the story just got annoying. But I will say this, the music they use in the last 6 missions was great.
I still recommend picking this title up as a keeper because there is so much shit to do in San Francisco and the NPC interactivity is outstanding. I bitch a lot about GTA V for being so "Dumb" environment and NPC wise but I definitely get what I wanted in WD 2 - the game is lively as can be - there is no denying that.

I'm not sure if my game glitched or what, but I finished one of the main story missions tonight (and the trophy popped and everything), but for the life of me I can't locate the next story mission. I feel like I'm getting close to the end, but as far as I know I didn't have to complete any certain side missions or anything to progress. Any ideas?
