Game Pass, Day One available!
Will definitely fire up some Ohtani/Yamamoto Dodgers.

I wish Sony would put these on PSN+ at launch like Game Pass. I would never play a baseball game enough to justify a purchase but I always get the itch to try one when Spring rolls around.

MLB games just take so much time. Sometimes a full game can take up to 3 hours. I used to love playing MLB games but with no clock it’s such a huge time investment for sports games.

I thought 23 was great (never understand the amount of people who complained about it).
I loved recreating the '87 Yankees roster and playing with them - a lot of people also downloaded my team as well
This looks great as well.

He's in the gameplay trailer in the first post. Sure hope he's playable. Also, can't you just trade him to any team you want if you're playing franchise mode or whatever it's called in this game?

Exactly. Plus it you like playing Ohtani, having him on a better team would be even more fun. You could totally trade him back the Halos if you want. I assume you could make him pitch as well, right?

I was a Montreal Expos fan, to this day that is still my favorite sports team ever. So I'm no stranger to having a great talent in the early stages of their career and then walk once they become a big time player. The shit gets old. Between the Expos getting moved and the strikes back then, I gave up on baseball and have had a strained relationship with my fandom ever since. Having potentially the greatest player of all time walk away just sours me completely on the sport once again. So hopefully that makes sense to you for why I feel the way I do.

I'm an Angels fan whose favorite player is Shohei Ohtani. Sure I could trade for him and use him or whatever, but I don't play my sports games that way.

I pre-ordered so I got early access.
After the first two pitches I threw in the game, Chris Singleton says "looking back, the Rangers have been swinging at way too many pitches in this game"
I see the commentary hasn't been fixed lol. It must be just too difficult for the programmers to create a code that more accurately recognizes what's actually happening on the field and comments appropriately
Oh and funny, the time clock violation is in the game now
Man, I am so good at pitching but extremely mediocre at hitting. I can shut out a good lineup on Veteran difficulty without much trouble and a ton of K's. Meanwhile I can't string more than a couple hits together on Veteran and struggle to score lol. Need to change the difficulty setting to dynamic
Anyway, gameplay is as fun as ever

It always takes me a little while to get back in the groove with hitting. I always struggle with scoring runs early in the season because of it.
