Yes she is tough but is the most offensive tank in the game. The key with her is to build up her gun's power level by shielding yourself and others. When those shields take damage, the orb on her gun grows bigger. I like to use her bombs more than the laser. The laser is pretty good up close though.

yeah i use the grenade power of the gun mostly. her shield are so short lived that its tough to build up the power of the gun sometimes

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

Anybody know when the new character will launch?

Also, I've found (PS4) that the match making can be terrible at times. Either you get straight in a game, or it cycles for minutes and eventually drops you in skirmish. That or boots you. I have no idea if it's a PSN thing or Blizzard servers.

Ana is out on PC as of yesterday. Waiting on typical console validation stuff from Sony/MS to come out on console, so it should be soon.

As for matchmaking, this is a good read on why it seems "terrible" at times - http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overw...5504371#post-3

Has anyone had better luck winning in competitive solo vs playing in a complete group? Because I sure have.

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

I haven't even done my 10 placement matches. Sounds like the XP gains/losses for competitive are hosed.

I may give it a try but I am having fun with quick play.

That said, if there is a dvdtalk group that plays together, I would join in.

Makes sense, given that groups get matched with other groups so theoretically you could be playing against a highly coordinated party.

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

The patch is live for PS4. Highlights are

Ana - new support sniper

D.Va shield can be turned on/off and she can't be killed by her own ultimate (yay!!!)

Torbjorn AND Symettra turrets get 30% nerf.

DDOS attack by the Poddle hackers screwed up my evening. Couldnt get onto WoW or Overwatch until 9ish.
Will the Lucio/rocket league weekly stay up longer than just a week? or are there other Olympic themed weeklies planned?

I have really enjoyed Lucioball aside from the glitching cheaters.

I have put a large number of hours into the XO version of this game.

And the announce of this Bastion video was great. My favorite animated short yet.

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

I watched some of the Atlanta pro-games last weekend. It was funny to see how different play is at that level. the teams were almost always the same.

What teams were you seeing?

I just hit level 104 and now in quickplay all the teams consist of people over level 100... and the game changed for the better by a bunch. My teams are often working together now, more folks have mics, better picks for balance, and those without mics are listening to us talk and using the "affirmative" thing to acknowledge they are going to fulfill their role as planned.

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

I'm getting close to level 300 and yes it seems I getting pair with better players ie players who communicate and fill roles properly.

Although I have formed many friendships over the OW run so I seldom go solo queue.

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

Story of my Overwatch life.....seem to get opponents down to a few hit points left and can't finish them off, haha. Admittedly this was a short match but I couldn't get a single elimination?

Rescued this thread from the doldrums of the bottom of page 2. Looks like I missed my prediction by about 2 months.

Slop, you really going to be playing this in May of 2018?

Re: Overwatch from Blizzard (May for PC, Xbox One & PS4)

I'm very late to the party and have only been playing for a few days, but I'm up to level 13 and am fairly addicted. Still trying to find my groove, but I've been doing okay-ish as Mercy.
