Doesn't seem to be much interest on this site but I'll post some quick impressions.
As mentioned above, I didn't know much about the game going in. Not at all what I was really expecting but I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely not a standard FF game. It's basically Monster Hunter with a FF skin over it. Very grindy and next to no story (so far). You just adventure out from the same home point to do missions. I can't say I'd recommend this for someone looking for a standard jrpg or FF game.
Oh, and one thing I thought was very strange. This game doesn't support 3D at all. First 3DS game I've seen like that.

I don't think even Monster Hunter sells well here, does it?

Not to my knowledge. It's already starting to feel stale. Whenever you get a piece of gear or monster to join you, you have to grind the same areas over and over to level them up. I can see it being fun co-op, which I'm going to try but it's pretty bland solo.

Finished up the "story" last night. It's only about half the game. Story ends at 5 star missions, the game has up to 10 star. But I'm guessing that a lot of those are the same fights but with options it has like double HP or attack power. You can turn any of those on yourself but some missions have them as requirements.
Not sure how far into the post-game I'll get but I've enjoyed what I played. Even more fun when I was able to team up with some friends.
