Phasma went from being the last toon I killed when facing an enemy squad to priority #1. Holy crap, when everyone on the other team gets advantage now it's a nightmare. You basically need to stun or ability block her with your first turn or you're losing 2 or 3 characters before you get to go again. At least it feels that way anyway.
I didn't bother getting her because I always thought she was overrated and really only seemed useful as a leader (plus she's available to borrow from literally 9 out of 10 friends) ... but now I guess I'm the fool. If she gets her special off its almost unfair. I guess I know where all my GW tokens are going for the foreseeable future.
But with that said, I was still able to finish GW after the update. Thank god for Poggle and his ability block and pretty much always going first.

For instance, Mace's leader ability (Vaapad) can go to level 8 when he reaches level 80. His unique ability (Shatterpoint) is maxed because it needs to go to level 82.

I'm pretty bummed that they've chosen to release all these great events that require a wide breadth of characters to even participate in. I've been playing for over a month and have about 15 characters, several at 7 stars, but I can't play the Ewok challenge or the one for the guilds. I mean, c'mon, throw the newer players a bone...

I'm trying really hard not to uninstall this game and demand a refund based on fraud. But I will see if additional tuning changes are in the works first but if this is the game now, I just can't.

Wow, the game play feels VERY different after that update. Feels like no one is doing damage but they sure are taking it! Plus, now with the shields or whatever they're called, you NEED the full five minutes in Arena.

I used to be able to auto fight these challenges. Today I tried auto and had toons dying in the 2nd round. That has NEVER happened, even with characters 10 levels below... nevermind 2-3 levels above. It shouldn't be this difficult to kill the early round scrubs.

The AGI challenge is better than the STR one but still really hard.
Helps to run Barriss as lead for the constant heals. Also really helped to have Daka for stuns and PTL to block SO's specials. Still though I feel like there's a certain degree of luck.
The real problem with these challenges are two fold:
1) If you are going to make them this hard, they should drop more of the hairdryers. Getting only 2 out of 5 is bullshit.
2) They take too long. I cannot imagine doing 15 of these on Sundays. On Auto was one thing.
Essentially, this game became like reading a James Joyce novel -tedious. Games should be fun. This is not.
Helps to run Barriss as lead for the constant heals. Also really helped to have Daka for stuns and PTL to block SO's specials. Still though I feel like there's a certain degree of luck.

Looks like you can play the Omega event twice a day on all tiers. The daily event changes at 1pm EST but the tiers reset at rollover. I'm not sure this is as intended so make sure you run through them again for extra creds/mats just in case. Getting another 250k in creds per day will be really helpful.

Until I see some major changes in the quality of the game I'm moving F2P with the exception of the crystal sub. That should give me around 300 crystals a day with arena and other rewards so I can refresh catina once and regular twice.
The ONLY way any game company learns they fucked up is if the revenues drop. I'm sure I'm screwing myself long-term but whatever, a game shouldn't be this frustrating. It's like they put Ninja Gaiden for Xbox on a mobile device.

GW is a good deal harder, and I'm only through node 6. It's amazing to me the devs do not see a problem with your protection dropping but the AI having full protection at the start of a match. Tone deaf idiot motherfuckers.
