Hmm. This may also be anecdotal but I just finished my 25th consecutive GW with 100% health on my A team. I finish in the top 100 in arena every day, haven't quite cracked top 50.
I have two 7* (Lumi, Sid, and Phasma on Thursday) with five level 69 characters, three gear8 and seven gear7. My next five most powerful characters are fairly underpowered, that's true, none are above level 60 because I'm not actively using them.

I'm level 55. I have one each of 6* (Lumi), 5* (Sid), 4* (Chewie), and multiple 3* characters. My top five heroes are level 55, rest range from 47 to 52. I have gear7 on two chars (Lumi, Sid) and gear5 on everyone else I use in GW or Arena. My Arena rank has never been below 1500. Currently fluctuates between 1500 and 2000.
I have completed 11 GWs in a row however since Thur or Fri of last week, I have not been able to complete one. I hit a super team (level 60+, majority in purple gear) around the midpoint of GW who just destroy me. Doesn't matter if I throw out my squaddies first and then follow with the A-Team. I just can't get past that wall. Sucks because I can only get around 400 tokens a day now.

Do not save crystals for chromium cards. Spend that on energy refreshes for more XP, more gear, more shards.
Regular energy is 120 per refresh which costs 50 crystals for the first refresh every day. The 2nd is also 50. After that it isn't worth it unless you're making a bunch in the arena.
You can get a single Cantina refresh for 100 each day. That's good because it helps speed up the Cantina shipments which are unbearably slow otherwise.
I'm currently ignoring regular refreshes and instead doing 2 Cantina refreshes (100+200) each day as I farm Mace and QGJ for the upcoming Jedi event.

Shard Shop First Impressions: Well, it exists...
Each shard you turn is gives you 15 credits. You spend 300 credits on 2 shards of 6 otherwise easily farmable characters. Refreshes every 24 hours, cannot do it manually.

They have announced there will be a "Shard Shop" exclusive character at the end of the month, so if you have extra shards it's worth waiting to see what that character is.

To get a 4* "Shard Shop" exclusive character, you'll need 80 shards which cost 150 credits each (300 for 2) which will cost 12,000 credits. At 15 credits per extra shard, you need 800 extra shards. For a 4*. This will not go over well.
So it's 10 extra shards for each and every shard shop shard. That's bananas.

I think they just fixed the color scheme so they were more readily identifiable.
Also, don't forget about the bonus energy 3x a day now. Appears to be 45 energy per window:
The border around gear denoting its rarity is now present in Shipments and during Data Card opening, making it easier to know the gear's value.
During 3 two hour periods of the day (12:00-14:00, 18:00-20:00, and 21:00-23:00, all in your local time) the player can collect additional bonus Energy through the Daily Activities menu.

I sure hope so.
I do really like seeing the shard progress on the overall character screen now as well as on the reward screen. The "this gear is needed by these characters" is nice but, realistically, I'm just farming for a specific character's immediate need anyway so it's kind of redundant.

Now that's interesting b/c I love Vader. He's got tank like HP, can crit like a mule, has amazing AOE, and can hand out nice damage. If he had a taunt he'd be in the game full time for me. I may go ahead and round out Sid to get Vader shards to take him to 5* quicker.

Another interesting update for Kylo users. Health steal procs with every hit. That makes him with his ability to reset cooldowns pretty much a must own at this point.
