Good call there . No AC game in 2016 and we saw Watch Dogs 2 instead.

Anyways, after a couple hours in I'm not really digging this game. The climbing, movement, and combat doesn't feel as fluid as Black Flag did. I'll probably sludge through it since I have finished the other games in the series (other than Unity since I heard that was a hot mess) but I wish I was enjoying it more. I also wish you could share skill points between both characters. It feels kinda dumb that you have to level up both individually.

Lol. First time I have been back here since I made that post by mistake (it was meant for the Just Cause 3 thread). But the universe has a way with things it seems as I actually picked up Assassins Creed Syndicate last weekend as it was $14 in Walmart. Played about 10 hours so far and actually really loving it. I still prefer Black Flag, especially as I found commanding a ship and naval warfare added a lot to the game, but this is still really good. The city really feels alive, maybe more so than any other sandbox I have played in.

I will be interested to see the next Assassins Creed, and would love it if they did a Black Flag 2.

Finally wrapped this one up. Felt like it took forever. Anyone play through the DLC? How was it?

I actually downloaded this a couple of weeks ago on the PSN sale for the PS4. I have the PS3 version, but wanted to play through it again. Currently at 55% complete and enjoying it just as much second time around. I will say it again, i would love to see a second Black Flag game.

You might be thinking of a different game then, because Syndicate never came out on last gen systems.

Yeah i meant Blackflag. I played through Syndicate as well earlier this year and really enjoyed the hell out of it.. Beautiful looking game.

I'm a couple hours in on the Jack the Ripper DLC and so far it's really cool. It takes place 20 years after the end of the main campaign. It's cool seeing how the characters have aged and playing the game in a non-lethal way (that is also explained in the DLC). You also get to play as Jack the Ripper and get to perform "brutal takedowns," which are extremely cool and violent.

Finished the Ripper DLC tonight. I enjoyed that more than the main game.

I just finished this game after wanting to play it for years. It was a Games with Gold item, but the DLC went on sale after I had started so I got it. The in-game extra content is pretty good, but the Jack the Ripper add-on is really substantial and, as was noted, puts a different spin on the main game.
