Ugh. At this point it should just be a $39.99 trilogy "remaster", and by that I mean a port of the PC version with all the sliders maxed out.

I played AA and AC on the 360 and frankly they looked pretty darn good to me then. It was fun but like Borderlands...already played and really have no use or need to do it again just for better graphics and extra DLC. I'll wait till the new Batman game comes.

If they remastered Origins, I would hope they would have put in every fucking fix that Origins needed to even be playable. What a clusterfuck that was.
Thankfully... Asylum and City came out fine w/o the need of patches and the whatnot. At least from what I remember.

Yup. I bought both games, played both to their conclusion and then some more. Loved every minute of it. And yet I have no desire to replay them again. Won't buy the re-master, won't rent it, won't play it if they give it away for free eventually. I've got plenty of games to play that I haven't beaten yet.
Looking forward to Arkhan Knight however. I assume those assets made this remaster easy to pull off.

Weird to not include Origins, even if it wasn't Rocksteady behind it. I have City/Origins on PC, Asylum on 360. As much as I enjoyed these, I don't think i'll rebuy a remaster though.

I do like remasters, but I share the sentiment of having played these and not having any desire to repurchase/replay a remastered version.

I wish Origins was getting remastered too, but it's not a huge loss. I liked it, but it was easily the worst of the three games.
I have played these games to death, but I still go back and replay them once a year or so. I would gladly buy remastered versions.
I don't mind remasters at all. Like I said in the PS4 thread, I like having all my games on one console so I can keep the clutter of consoles to a minimum. Arkham and Uncharted are the only reason I still have my PS3. If they get remastered, then I can get rid of that console.

The only problem I had with Origins was how frustrating it was at times. Specifically the Deathstroke, Copperhead, Bane(x2) fights .... The actual story was pretty good though.
I'm all in for the new ones.

I'm not sure how much better the Rocksteady games, even Origins, could look that much better. Ok... Origins was the "worst" looking if you want to get nitpicky.
I've only had these on the 360, which I thought looked better than its PS3 versions, but how much better looking were the PC versions?

The PC version also has PhysX which adds a lot of cool little graphical touches that weren't possible on the PS3/360.
Here is a comparison video that shows Arkham Asylum with and without PhsyX.

People blow this way out of proportion. I only ever use detective mode when first entering a new room/area. I use it to see if there are any Riddler trophies or whatever nearby and to see if any enemies are armed with guns. Then I turn it back off. So I use detective mode like 10% of the time.
The one and only time I ever run around with detective mode on constantly is at the very end of the game when I am hunting down the last elusive Riddler trophies.

I'm pretty sure GoVegan wasn't singling you out specifically.
Yes, a significant number of people played these games with Detective Mode on pretty much all the time. Rocksteady very vocally acknowledged it as a problem after Asylum. I wonder if the remastered Asylum will use the modified Detective Mode from City.

I'm not an achievement or percentage obsessor so I only go to detective mode when I'm stuck or looking for criminals in a new location. I'm still playing the last game and finished the main storyline but have gotten stuck on one of the boss battles so I might just move on.
But yeah, no need to rebuy. I did rebuy Tomb Raider and it looked great, but I didn't do an A-B comparison to see just how much greater it looked.
