Watched the video Scott posted in the Destiny thread regarding fatebringer.

I realize it's speculation at this point, but if the weapons aren't carrying forward, why would they strip the elemental burns on VOG weapons? What's the harm in giving everyone a few months of fun with a raid primary that does elemental damage?

I'll reserve judgment until I watch the twitch reveal tomorrow, but that would be a major downer. If the update gives us enough to get the Gang together on the weekends for a few weeks or months I'll still be happy.

Still, I am so looking forward to D2. I was late to the Dagger Party. Started playing with most of you in January following the vanilla release. It's been quiet the past few months, but in our heyday, nothing comes even remotely close gaming wise to the fun I've had with you guys. I really do mean that.

Killer Cocktails, Scott having strokes trying to cap B in Iron Banner, randoms for raids dropkicking kids for leaving lunchmeat on the couch, Cruz is online..., Ice jumping off maps in Trials, torturing my brother via chat, Sooner yelling "goddammit!", Chase and I beating Oryx in one try with Randoms, etc. But most importantly, finding out Scott is actually Randy!

Miss the days of weekly raid runs when they mattered and always looking forward to Iron Banner every month. I can only hope that with D2 there is enough of a renewed interest that we will have to run seperate RAID groups again.

Plus, we will run our first D2 RAID with Ice and Cruz having stable internet. It will be glorious!

So far:

A lot of talk regarding the record book. Some things will be completed the second we open it.
the book does not need 100 percent completetion to get all book rewards. Final reward is a code to get a Age of Triumph tshirt.

All Raids will be 390 Light Level. 400 max Guardian Light Level is not changing.

Challenge modes added to old raids.

Vex mythoclast and elemental primaries will be addressed towards the end of the stream. (He must have meant later date, because they weren't covered)

Ghosts added to old raids, sparrows added to newer ones.

Weekly Featured Raid will include all challenge modes active. VoG is Templar and Atheon challenges.

Crota will be the week one featured Raid. Second week is VoG.

Weekly featured Raid is the only place you can get ornaments.

Old raids haven't been touched regarding adding Taken or Siva. Instead they are directors cuts and have been tweaked. No more cheesing the oracles, but they've cut down on time for that part of the Raid.

3 of coins will work in old raids.

Patch notes for raids will be vague so they don't give away surprises.

All 4 raids have new ornamental armor.

Based on what you wrote here, I think it will be fun.

Feels like a victory tour while we wait for Destiny 2.

Really surprised they didn't raise the light level.

The book is impossible to complete 100% unless you started playing early in Year 1. In other words, my second account won't get 100% completion in it.

There's a record book entry for killing ALL the gorgons...Don't they respawn?!?!

Also have to go in and win 30 crucible matches. sheet.

The loot will be talked about 2 weeks from now.

Record book entry for going to the lighthouse. Fortunately it does count previous trips, so any of us that went once, it does count.

No new used car bought yesterday. Sooner or later one of these fools will take my money.

Also mentioned in the stream - Apparently if you are 400 light level new items will drop @ 400. Loot tables will be addressed to match up to the current standards so the drop rate will be better.

I'm looking forward to this update. I may have to start jumping on to complete stuff that I ignored and to get my toons to 400.

So 3 new armor sets for each character (4 if you need to replace WOTM raid gear to get the new ornament nodes). The return of 2 weapon sets (King's Fall weapons are already infusible), and really nowhere to put any of them.

I guess with Destiny coming to an end it doesn't matter all that much and I can trash quite a bit of useless stuff.

Oh, and I might be able to free up some time on Saturday.

All kidding aside, is everyone ready to tackle Crota Remix when it's released on the 28th? I'd imagine they removed the bridge cheese which is fine since Daggers can do it legit.

If one of the challenges is us all making it through the first section without dying I'll set aside 5 or 6 hours for that part.

If people are around this weekend but we don't have enough to Raid I'd be up for some PVP if there's interest.
